[40] 《Criminal!Jaehyun》

-M/n looked extremely pale as he sat down on one of the chairs that was infront of the interrogation room
-The tall male was close to ripping his hair out as tears slowly started to build up in his eyes, he couldn't believe what Jeong Jaehyun just said
-It didn't feel real and he hoped that it wasn't real
-"M/n, are you okay?" A deep voice startled him as he looked up just to find Jaden's worried face
-The tall male couldn't bring himself to say anything as he just nod. It was like something was preventing him from breathing
-Jaden sighed at his college as he entered the interrogation room where Valentino was currently sitting in
-The people's gazes around the distressed men felt like knives stabbing him several times. It was like they were all judging him but maybe that was just an illusion. Maybe, Jaehyun was just messing his mind up.
-After all, the criminal knew his ways of playing with people's minds. It was truly terrifying of how causally he said everything as if they were talking about God knows what
-M/n shook his head as he tried to calm himself down. It would only satisfy the handsome men
-"Sungho, put the files of Sunghee on my desk" M/n said through the phone as he made his way towards his office
-"M/n, we agreed-" Sungho's sentence was cut off by the tall male's stern voice
-"It's an order and you're going to follow it" He said as he started to walk faster, the thought of the closed case was still in his mind even after years of grieve, he still couldn't let it go
-"Okay, boss" Sungho whispered quietly as he ended the call
-M/n's relationship with the people in his workplace is kind of confusing. He is in fact the boss of them but treats them more like co-workers which is why they all get along with him but when it comes to serious things, it's back to being the boss of everyone
-Opening his office door, the sight of the files laying on his desk made him reconsider if he should really look into the case again or not
-But he couldn't just back off, he was already too deep in it
-The file itself didn't have much information of Sunghee, only about the things that everyone already knew and when she went missing
-This case was truly one of the toughest one's for M/n. It wasn't because she went missing but because he knew her better than anyone else
-'I couldn't even protect her' 'I broke my promise' the tall men told himself over and over, again
-Cases like this weren't new to M/n, he had been in this business long enough to toughen up. He had seen a lot worse but this one just shattered his heart
-There was no way over it. There never was a way over it
-Even just seeing the picture of Sunghee's smiling face made his heart clench. He never found out what happened till the criminal himself spoke. Hell, he didn't even answer his actual question about murdering a men
-'Should I believe it? Should I fall for his dirty tricks?' Jeong Jaehyun was truly a mystery. He isn't easy to read. He has way too many faces
-With a heavy heart, M/n looked through the file for what felt like the 1000th time. There was nothing, no clear information that gave at least a slight hint of what happened to her
-"She looked so adorable with her eyes wide open, screaming your name for help. I still remember how beautiful the sight was of her blood streaming out of her fragile body. I bet you would have enjoyed the view, wouldn't you?" Jaehyun's words pulled onto his heart strings as if they wanted M/n to take his last breath
-Without realizing, the tall men's breath quickened as his hands started to violently shake. M/n tightly gripped onto his desk with his right hand as his left hand closed the file.
It was too much, it was like the walls were getting closer and closer till they would suffocate M/n's body to the point where blood would be dripping from everywhere
-The boss' shaking didn't seem to stop as it only got worse. At this point he was sitting on the ground, hugging himself tightly as he started to hyperventilate. His whole body trempled as his muscles started to tense up
-'It's all your fault' 'You should have been in her position' all these thoughts clouded his mind as he was feeling overwhelmed by everything
-"M/n!" Sungho whispered as he looked at his boss and best friend in horror. It had been a while since he had a panic attack and it really shocked him
-Not getting too close, Sungho slowly sat down "M/n, take a deep breath and start counting to ten" trying to stay calm wasn't that easy as he saw his best friend in such a horrible state
-Noticing, his best friend, M/n did what he was told as he tried to put himself together
-He really didn't mean to scare Sungho but whenever he apologized afterwards, his best friend would get mad at him "You shouldn't apologize for that! You never should!" That was what Sungho would always say to him
-Slowly starting to regain his breath, M/n leaned against his desk as both of them stayed quiet
-"Are you sure that you want to do this?" Sungho asked him worriedly as he was making his way towards the interrogation room
-"I'm more than sure" M/n replied as he held his chin up
-"But you just-" "Yes, I did but this is more important" he cut Sungho off as he pulled his keys out for the room
-"Stay here!" M/n commanded and went in
-Shivers went down his spine as he saw Valentino's bruised face but that didn't terrify him, it was that goddamn psychotic smile of his
-"Came here to talk about your sister, didn't you?" Jaehyun asked as he started to laugh which made him cough out blood afterwards
