[12] 《Broken Promise》

"M/n, are we always gonna stay friends?" Jaehyun looked at M/n with hope in his eyes. Both of them know each other since childhood and had been going through everything together. It's impossible to imagine these two apart.

"Yoonoh, why would you ask that?" M/n was surprised that Jaehyun would ask that, after all both of them are inseparable.

Jaehyun took a deep breath and looked down "I'm just scared that something might happen to us... I don't want to lose you".

Moments like this were always difficult to handle for Jaehyun. He knows that he can trust M/n but he's scared of the future, he's scared that both of them will lose contact.

M/n gave the younger male a small smile and pulled Jaehyun towards him "Yoonoh, I promise that we'll always stay together, yes, we can never know what'll happen in the future but as long as we like each other, it should be alright"

Jaehyun started to smile but little did M/n know that some promises are meant to be broken.

M/n [I'm so sorry...]

"M/n!!!" Jaehyun yelled and gave the older male a hug.

"Why are you here? You should have been already in school" M/n asked and frowned. Normally, Jaehyun lives near their school and is always early, but this time, he's now walking with M/n.

Jaehyun playfully put his hand on top of his chest "You didn't miss me?" The smaller male looked hurt and M/n just slapped his arm.

"Okay, okay, I just wanted to walk with you"

"Are you sure?"

"I always tell the truth" M/n just rolled his eyes and continued to walk.

Moments like this were special to Jaehyun, the taller male might not talk much but he's fine with that. He wants M/n to be comfortable.

M/n heard someone knocking on his door, he was confused "It's late..." without further thinking, he opened the door and the first thing he saw, was Jaehyun.

His face was flushed red with dried tear stains on his cheeks "Jae, what happened-?" Before M/n could ask anymore questions, Jaehyun hugged him.

The younger male started to sob, his grip got tighter and he was having problems to breathe. M/n slowly walked backwards, he closed the door with his foot and carefully put his hand on Jaehyun's back, to rub soft circles.

It didn't seem like Jaehyun was gonna stop crying soon, it concerned M/n, normally he doesn't cry much.

M/n leaned down and whispered sweet nothings into Jaehyun's ear which calmed him down a bit "Yoonoh, cry as much as you want and let everything out"

After a while of crying, Jaehyun calmed down "M/n, p-please don't l-leave me..." his voice broke down and he started to sob again.

"Jaehyun, I won't leave you, I promise"

Another promise, something that M/n often did.

"WHY DID YOU LEAVE!?!?" Jaehyun yelled and started to throw all his things on the ground.

"Jae-" and again, he threw a vase onto the ground which shattered into pieces.

His mother didn't know what to do, Jaehyun never reacted like this. She slowly walked up to her son and gave him a tight hug which made Jaehyun break down.
