Celaena

Everyone was decked out in their finest, but per usual, she was the most radiant. However, that is not to say that she didn't like it that way, but sometimes it could become a little tiresome always being at the top. Not! Please, she could stand on the heads of people all day.

"You ready to go my lovelies?" She asked.

Rhysand glared at her, and it seemed like the leash he had on himself was loosening considerably.

"We," pause for extra dramatics, "are not your anything. Best remember that." Ah, so he did not like his High Lordy feathers ruffled. Well shucks, sucks for him.

"But my dear Rhysand, I am of great import and it would be best if you remember that as well. You never know, I may just be the thing you need when the time comes."

Extra points to Celaena for the cryptic message, and bonus points for the look of confusion on everyone's face after the fact. Aside from Azriel's lovely face of course, he and her were beginning to understand one another very well.

Rhysand just rolled his eyes, and everyone else just looked bored. What? She couldn't help pissing people off.

"Okay Ms. I-Think-I-am-so-Great, this meeting is serious. All of the High Lords are going to be there, and most of them hate humans on the spot. You have to keep your wits about you, and make sure that someone from this court is with you at all times." He seemed to hesitate a moment and take a breath. Pussy. "Every one at the meeting knows this court to be the cruelest in all the land. As such, all of us will be wearing masks, so please don't be scared."

"If they are anything like the ones you gave me in the Prison, I think I'll be just fine. Might have to stop myself from laughing though."

It seemed like Amren did not like the blatant disrespect and wanted this meeting over and done with quickly. She must have be getting impatient for her boy toy.  Poor Varian, he was going to be eaten alive today. Then again, maybe he was into that.

"Watch your mouth girl. The powers that will be there have been in play millenniums before your birth. To them you are not more than a speck of mud beneath their shoes. Best wipe that shit-eating grin off your face."

Everyone was stepping closer between them, ready to intervene if a fight broke out.

"I will do what I damn please, Grandma. So step aside, it's meeting time."

Smoke was coming out of Amren's ears, but nonetheless, Mor and Rhysand grabbed everyone and winnowed them away.

Azriel

Celaena had been all fire this morning. It is a dangerous thing to fight Amren, yet she does it without hesitation. He admired her strength. Or maybe it was her stupidity. Either way, when they landed in the dawn court, Celaena was the first to let go and walk about to take in the city. It truly was magnificent. The rivers that cut through the land shimmered, and the sun that reflected off the red roofs of the homes gave the area a feeling of eternal sunshine. It seemed to him that Celaena fit right in, the red and gold matching her personality entirely.

"I think you have some redecorating to do Rhysand, comparatively, the Night Court could do with some revamping."

"I would have to agree Miss." Said Thesan as he strolled out to meet them. He was closely followed by his Peregryn soldiers, their proud white feathers on display.

"See, someone who understands how right I am. I must say, I think the land takes after you."

"Is that so?" Thesan looked endlessly amused and Rhys looked on with disbelief. He should really stop underestimating Celaena's chameleon personality.
