Introduction

Hey, my loves! I am BEYOND excited to finally be publishing this book, it's been something that I've been working on for the best part of two years now, and I'm over the moon to finally have it finished and ready to share with all of you lovely people! However, this book is a lot darker than my previous work, and I felt the need to make this the first chapter just to let people know what to expect in terms of trigger warnings and stuff. The trigger warnings for themes that are consistently mentioned throughout the book are as follows:

Mentions of depression

Mentions of mental health issues

Mentions of death

Mentions of drug and alcohol abuse

Mentions of addiction

Mentions of trauma

Everything on that list is a theme that runs throughout the book, and I will be putting relevant trigger warnings on all chapters that need them too, so there shouldn't be a single chapter where something triggering is mentioned without me having put a warning on first (if there is, PLEASE say something because I would never leave a warning out by accident, so if there's not one there, I've not spotted it, so please do say if there's something that you feel should have a warning). That being said, if you feel like this book isn't for you and is too dark, please click off now. I am ALWAYS just a message or comment away if anyone needs to talk, and if anyone starts reading my book and finds that it IS too much, that's completely okay, I'm always here if people need, but it's completely okay if this is the furthest that some people get. If these trigger warnings are okay for you and you feel fine to continue, that's amazing. Also, there are some things in this book that I haven't experienced personally, such as going through addictions, withdrawal or seeing that happen to a loved one, and I mean absolutely no offence to anyone who has experienced that. I have tried to portray these things as accurately as I can and so I am truly sorry if I unintentionally cause offence or harm in my depiction of these issues. I've put my heart and soul into this book, especially in the last few months and it means the world to me to finally release it, so I just hope that y'all love reading it as much as I loved writing it.
