THE CRESCENT AEON WAS ALREADY PLODDING ITS WAY TO THE DUSK FIRMAMENT when you finished codifying out some of the documents that Rindou assigned to you last daybreak. With a light yawn, you bent your back over, creating a sense of relief in your body when the strain in your spine faded. For working and sitting at a span amount of almost five hours, the work somehow made your whole body null for a couple of minutes.

"10:00 PM, huh. And I may need to finish Hanma's pape—."

"Hey, you there?"

Your forehead crinkled when your ears hearkened a rather unfamiliar orotund and broad voice from the other side of your office's door. You stood up, pulled the drawer beside your desk before discarding a small firearm out from the inside. Setting a gun in your waist for you safety, you tiptoed in a muted manner towards the main door.

Who would even visit you at the middle of the night when nobody should've been wandering around the premises at this time?

You don't know, you have no answers in your mind either as you slowly turned the knob over using your left hand. Whilst your right hand who's grasping the firearm's handle tauten, ready to shoot whoever intrudes your work.

"It's me, Hanma." The voice once again said, confirming your allegations. That's when you halted from walking, following it with a heave of sigh while rolled your eyes from his sudden visit. The sting of antsiness wore off inside you as you opened the door to welcome the discreet guest with a disdained gander in your face.

"Do you need anything?" You asked without bothering to open the door widely, not welcoming the latter in any case possible that he'll enter without consent.

"You really...brought a gun, huh?" Hanma said, his eyes caught a glimpse of the gun's handle poking in the gutter of your suit. Yet he soon discarded it before showing a plastic brand of a rather obscure food brand, "And are you not gonna invite me inside first? I waited for you in my office but you didn't come so I went over to give you some dinner just in case."

"What's that?"

"Bought this in a nearby 7/11 store. So, you wanna eat or not?" He gestured.

"I don—." What took your lies to spill out is when your stomach lowly grumbled amidst the puny space between the two of you, causing a low titter to unfold out of Hanma's throat when he heard how your body naturally complained of hunger.

"Hm? The baby is complaining. Let me in now, meine liebe." Hanma said, grinning widely whilst opening the door himself to welcome his presence inside your office — whether you like it or not, he'll force you to eat since it's been hours ever since you started working and he's sure you haven't consume anything yet.

"Baby? The fuck you saying?" You irked.

"Baby dragon. Rawr." He joked and laughed but ceased to do so midways when he noticed that the latter isn't the least bit pleased by his feat.

"Why can't you just leave?" You asked, closing the door while watching how Hanma entered and leaned on the table just beside your paperworks. He nonchalantly inspected those one by one, finding the papers a little bit peculiar since those documents aren't just your normal secretary's handiwork.

"Told ya I'm waiting for you." Shuji whispered.

"Whatever." You glanced sideways, avoiding how his gaze peered at you for a second before walking towards your chair, sitting on it whilst nonchalantly watching how Hanma welcomed himself.

Much to your surprise, Hanma served you the food like a loyal chaperone while gesturing you to just sit back and relax in your swivel chair. Your head slightly creased in perplexity, unable to rapt any idea as to why the lad acts so gentle when it's not even his character to do so. And as much as you don't want to, you already know every last bit of his figure anyways ever since the first time that your polar worlds collided.
