"Y/n, watch your back!" Albedo turned to you with a bloodied face

"Got it!" You grinned enthusiastically as you killed the dendro abyss mage with your weapon

Still grinning, you turned back around and saw Albedo defeating a matchachurl before wiping his forehead with his gloved hand

Small slimes made their way over to you as you killed them as quick as possible, rushing to pick up the slime condensate before haistly running to Albedo's side, jumping to stop yourself before you collided with him

His hair was a mess, his lip was busted, and he had a cut on his head. You on the other hand, only had a few acid burns from the slimes making contact with your skin

As more hilichurls and a few more matchachurls showed up, you gripped your weapon and charged forward

Dispite not yet having a vision, you made up for it with your combat skills. You were fast and somewhat strong enough to fight

"Little shits" you clicked your tounge in annoyance as a hilichurls arrow scraped past your arm, slightly cutting you

Unknowing to you, Albedo was watching over you as you fought which meant he was distracted from the task at hand

He snapped back into reality when he felt a surging pain coming from his abdomen

He spluttered up blood which caught your attention

"What the- Albedo?!" Your eyes widened as you saw him keel over, an arrow sticking in his stomach

"Don't worry about me..! Fight them off first.!" His face was serious as he commanded you

"Get yourself somewhere safe!! Don't you dare try and fight!" You said breathlessly as you killed the hilichurl infront of him

He only nodded

As you slaughtered the hilichurls, rage surged through you and carried you even though you were physically exhausted

As you slayed the last hilichurl, you rushed over to were Albedo situated himself

"You idiot... You idiot what happened?!" You panicked as you kneeled down next to him as he held his wound

"I looked away... For a-" he started coughing harshly

"S-Shut up for a minute, don't waste your energy!" You scolded, you lifted his hands away from his wound and grimaced at the sight, a red stained arrow was sticking right out of him

"...it's bad, isn't it" he looked at you, you're eyes started to go glossy

"W-We need to get you somewhere, we need to have one of the sisters heal you right away!!" You wrapped his arm around your shoulder and tried to pull him up, only for him to wince at the tremendous amount of pain he felt

"Y/n.. I can't move without it hurting" he said, avoiding eye contact

"No.. no no no no no! I'm not letting you die here! I'm not going to let you die!" Your voice wavered as a lump in your throat formed

"It was bound to happen, I was basically made from thin air after all, it's just the complications of what we call life" he reached up to wipe the tears falling from your face "you've made me feel things that I've never felt before, thank you for that Y/n"

"Stop talking like you're going to die, you're not, I'm not letting you!" You looked him directly in the eyes, making him softly smile

"Y/n, there's a time and place for everything. If fate so happened to decide it, there's no changing it" his eyes were getting heavy to hold open

You pulled him into your lap and hugged him closely, you could hear the faint sound of a heartbeat that would slowly disintegrate over time

"... Don't fucking laugh" you said before taking a deep breath

"You are my sunshine, my only sunshine" you softly sang

As you sang, you voice was wobbly due to you holding back more tears

Albedo's face relaxed as he heard you sing

"You make me happy, when sky's are gray" you sing a bit louder, making sure he could hear you properly

"You'll never know dear, how much I love you, please.. don't take my sunshine... Away..." You trailed off as you heard his breathing was calm

"I love you Y/n... I've had these feelings for a long time but didn't know how to describe them" he said, his voice barely above a whisper

He pulled your face in closer as he gave you a soft but passionate kiss

His chapped and bloody lips leaving a metallic taste on your tounge that remained even when he pulled away

"...please, sing to me again" his words were coming out slow and slurred, almost as if he were drunk

"If you insist..." You looked back into his eyes

You must've repeated the song around four to five times before you couldn't carry in anymore

As you broke down and cried, Albedo looked up at you with worried eyes

"I... Love y-..you..." He grabbed your hand and held it to his chest

You could feel the life draining out of him by the second

"Don't.. you ever... Forget... that.. Y-..Y/n" his chest deflated as soon as he said his final words, you let out a heartbreaking sob

As you were greiving your loved ones death, a bright light shine from behind you, making you turn around while sheilding your eyes

As soon as the light disappeared, in its place was a teal gem, embedded in a case of metal wings

You wiped your eyes, still crying as you let go of Albedo's body and reached over towards it, realising it was an anemo vision

You couldn't help but sob more as you held the precious stone close to your heart

From what you had learnt in books, you recalled what the visions meant to the people they were given to

Cryo, these were given to those who  have a persisting problem with love to people around them

Pyro, these are received through an act of courage and determination, which are traits favourable during a time of war

Electro, receive their visions when they were able to act in validation of those eternal truths

Hydro, receive their visions when they realised the "just" path that lay before them

Geo, usually receive their visions as recognition of their commitment to their aspirations

And... Anemo, as an honour to their selflessness and persistence in the face of challenges

The only two reasons I didn't break down while writing this is

1. It's five in the morning and I have no sense of emotions this early

2. I'm listening to hatsune miku and Len kagemine
