The Captain
Rachel sighed, sitting down on a stray barrel on the island end of the port, pulling the scroll of paper from a secret pocket in her coat. The Mysterious Stranger, who had failed to give his name before leaving, had written down a list of people that she could consider hiring as a crew. The list wasn't very long, in fact, it only had about at least 14 or 15 names on it.
"Yer lucky lass"
The stranger had said to her before leaving, she was lucky because everyone on the list just so happened to be at the island, Ancient Spire, for the day. As she looked out at the sea of sailors and townspeople that had crowded the entire vicinity of the port she sighed and shook her head at the thought of tracking down everyone in one day.
"Ahoy there! Are ye the Rachel BlueJay that bought me buckos galleon?"
A voice had called from behind her, she craned her head to take a lazy glance at the speaker and recognized them from the tour of the ship, he had been working there on removing the sails and painting it over, he was rather elderly looking.
"Aye, that'd be me"
Rachel slid off of the barrel crossing her arms across her chest
"The Galleons all ready fer ye, painted blue lik' ye asked, one request from meself 'n me bucko, treat her well, one o' the finest ships that's ever sailed the Sea o' Thieves"
Rachel stepped forward to shake their hand, reaching into her large pant pockets with her right hand she pulled out a tiny burlap sack, the clinking noises it had as it was pulled out indicated that coins were what was in the tied-up pouch, the man took it nodding his head as he gestured for Rachel to follow him. She trailed behind the old sailor as they made their way down to the boat dock end of the port, weaving through other sea-men and women they finally came upon the magnificent blue Galleon
"She's all yers now Miss BlueJay, have you decided what to call 'er yet?"
Rachel marveled at the blue and cyan ship in front of them, it was a glorious Galleon that seemed as tall and as mighty as a mountain, she looked at the ship from bottom to top, hatches to ropes, sails to heading... The heading. It was a phoenix, significantly colored a metallic cerulean blue causing it to shine in the morning sunlight. A name appeared in Rachels's head (To those who play Sea of Thieves, it's the Parrot skin pack for the Ship)
"The Phoenix, the Cerulean Phoenix"

The First Mate
Rachel sighed looking down at her list for the tenth time in two hours, she had spent the last two hours in search of a first mate and had gone through three names already, they all refused, mainly when they heard what treasure she was after. Not many people believe in the Shores of Gold let alone the mythical Shroud-Breaker. The fourth name on the list was one named
Zarriah Emrof-Yzal.She owned the local pet store on Galleons Grave Outpost and was in business with the Merchant Alliance. She was here watching the pet shop on Ancient Spire for a friend and townsfolk had said that she didn't look too happy about it. As Rachel walked up to the colorful oak shack she noticed it had two unlit lanterns swinging from the overhanging roof, three cracked and weathered barrels sat to the left of the front door that seemed filled to the brim with food that she could only assume was for the animals. The front door was closed and seemingly locked, a dirty stained glass window sat in the door at the top and someone's silhouette could be seen moving around behind the glass.
