Shota walks into class and sees them all sitting silently; he goes to the podium confused.
"Why are you so well behaved? This is concerning." He says once they still hadn't said anything.
"Mr Aizawa, you're Present Mic's friend right?" Mina asks.
Shota sighs, "Yes why?"
"Well... we saw him crying and Miss Midnight was comforting him." She continues.
Shota freezes for a moment, 'Why would Zashi be crying?'
"He kept saying a name and we didn't recognise it so we were wondering if you knew?" She says a little quieter than usual.
"What was the name?" Shota asks curiously.
"Oboro." She says nervously.
Shota's whole body stiffens and memories come flooding back.
"Mr Aizawa?! Are you okay? You're crying!" Ochako says worriedly she gets up to go and see if he was okay.
"No, its better if one of his friends help him you might make it worse." Izuku warns.
Shota backs into the wall and slides down onto the floor, ' Its my fault, its my fault, its my fault! I should've saved him! Damn it why am I so damn weak!' He covers his ears with his hands hoping to block out the voices in his head reminding him how much of a failure he is.
Tenya is the one to run out of the room to find either Present Mic or Midnight. Shota doesn't notice him leave or how they were all watching him with worried expressions. He squeezes his eyes shut and presses against his ears in a desperate attempt to shut out the hateful voices.
' You're a horrible teacher, a horrible friend, a horrible father and a horrible husband! It should've been you! Everyone wishes it was you instead of him! He was the better hero!'
More tears start falling and he's unable to stop them, they just keep falling.
Tenya arrives back and the class with both Midnight and Present Mic since they'd been together.
Hizashi sees Shota on the floor and runs over to him, he gently tries to remove his hands causing Shota to get a fright before noticing it was Hizashi.
"I'm sorry, its my fault." He says softly sounding broken. Hizashi looks at him confused for a moment before he realises what he meant.
"Oh Sho, its not your fault, no one could've changed what happened." Hizashi replies softly and wipes away Shota's tears with his thumbs. He gently pulls Shota into an embrace and Shota cries into his shoulder while he fights back his own tears he hated seeing Shota like this.
Nemuri turns to face the class, "What happened before he ended up like that?"
"Its my fault Miss Midnight." Mina says raising her hand.
"What do you mean?" Nemuri asks confused as to how Mina had made him cry.
"A few of us had seen Present Mic crying and you had been with him, we were worried and knew Mr Aizawa was friends with him... so I asked Mr Aizawa about what we'd heard Present Mic saying and then he was crying." Mina explains feeling really guilty.
