C H A P T E R 5

MONSTER

Nasa kotse na kami papunta sa party. Si Sunoo ang nag-d-drive habang nasa shotgun seat ako. We talked about random stuffs hanggang sa dumating na kami sa pag-gaganapan ng party, which is a mansion. Big mansion. Napatingin ako sa bintana at medyo nasa liblib na lugar pala ang bahay. Bumukas ang malaking gate kaya nakapasok ang kotse namin. Bumungad ang malaking fromt yard at fountain sa gitna. Walang tao sa front yard, halos nasa loob silang lahat. Bumaba na kami ng kotse, nakita kong papalapit sa'min si Jake na may hawak na kopita ng alak.

"Tagal niyo, nagsimula na ang party." Sabi niya. Napatingin siya sa'kin at tinanguan ako. Napatingin ako sa paligid at may mga mamahaling sports car nakaparada. Sa kanila ba 'to? O sa bisita nila? Pumasok na kami sa mansion and I can't deny na kung maganda sa labas, mas maganda sa loob.

"Nasa may pool area sila Jay puntahan mo na lang!" Nagsisigawan sila Sunoo at Jake dahil sa sobrang lakas ng sounds. Kahit ako di ko marinig halos ang boses nila. Mukha na nga kaming nasa bar. Kumakalat ang amoy ng alak at sigarilyo sa paligid kaya medyo na-aasiwa ako. Nakipagsiksikan ako hanggang sa makalabas ako sa dance floor. Pinunasan ko ang namumuong pawis sa noo ko. Tumingin ako sa paligid, medyo nasisilaw ako sa iba't ibang kulay ng ilaw kaya wala ako masyadong makita. Nawawala ako. Ang laki ng mansion na'to. Paano ko hahanapin sila? I tried to call and text each one of them pero wala akong nakuhang sagot. Naalala ko na sabi ni Jake nasa pool area daw sila Jay kaya agad kong hinanap ang daan papuntang pool area. Hinubad ko ang denim jacket ko dahil naiinitan talaga ako. Hinanap ko yung pintuan papuntang pool area, ng may makita ako agad akong lumabas doon pero pintuan pala papuntang back yard yon. Dito na ako dumaan kesa bumalik sa loob at makipagsiksikan. Naglakad lakad ako ng may marinig akong ungol. Hindi ko maintindihan kung ungol na nasasaktan o ungol na nasasarapan na ewan o pareho? Sinundan ko 'yon hanggang sa mapadpad ako sa madilim na parte ng backyard. May nakita akong dalawang bulto doon, mukha silang nag-mamakeout aalis na sana ako pero tumingala yung lalaki. Dahil sa pagtingala niya nasinagan siya ng buwan. Nanlaki ang mata ko. Blood is dripping from his mouth, the light of the moon compliments his glowing red eyes. It's Jungwon. Umatras ako, hanggang sa hindi ko namalayan na tumatakbo na ako. I need to get out of here. Patuloy akong tumatakbo ng may mabangga ako.

"Anika? Why are you running?" It's Heeseung. I was about to tell him but i saw his eyes. It's red. I pushed him. He's like Jungwon, i really need to get out of here. I ran, pushing the one's who's blocking my way. I didn't even say sorry. I just need to get out of here.

"Not so fast Anika." I stopped when someone hold my wrist. It was Jay, and like Heeseung and Jungwon his eyes are also glowing red, and his with the others. I looked at Sunoo but he avoided my eyes. Pinilit kong makawala sa hawak niya pero lalo lang 'yon humihigpit.

"Let go of me!" I shout. I looked around. Everyone is still partying excpet to us eight. I was about to shout when Ni-ki spoke.

"Don't ask for help. They're not gonna listen to you, you know?" He said, then devishly smirked. I looked at jungwon who's smirking at me. I just remembered what he did to the girl.

"You're a monster." I said. Lumapit siya sa'kin, binitawan na ni Jay ang kamay ko pero hinawakan naman ni Jungwon ang bewang ko.  I pushed him but he's like a wall. Nilapit niya ang mukha niya sa'kin hanggang sa gahibla na lang ang layo namin.

"And you can be the beauty." He said, i felt something on my nape then everything went black.

I woke up because of the noise. Ugh, my head hurts. Dinilat ko ang mata ko at ginala sa paligid. Gusto kong masuka sa nakikita ko. Blood is splattered everywhere. Everyone is dead. I move my hand pero di ko magalaw only to know na nakatali ako sa upuan. Napatingin ako sa damit ko, it was red but you can see the blood stains on it.

"Yeah, that Alicia's blood didn't taste that sweet. Oh, the princess is awake." Jake said, while wiping the blood on his lips. The other five look at me. I don't know where Ni-ki is. They're all covered in blood. I'm really scared right now. I looked at Sunoo, but he's avoiding my gaze. I looked at them and their still drinking a thing from their glass.

"W-why are you doing this? W-what are you?" I asked even though the answer is obvious. Anika, they are MONSTERS. Nagulat ako ng may bumagsak na katawan sa harap ko. And all of a sudden, nagwawala na ako sa kinauupuan ako. I can't control myself, i want something, I'm thirsty. I'm breathing heavily. I look at the body infront of me, and i feel something inside me want to taste it. I tried to control myself, i breathe in, breathe out. I calmed down a bit, but I'm still breathing heavily. I looked at the seven monsters infront of me.

"Wow, you manage to calm yourself. Incredible." Jay slowly clapped.

"T-tell me, w-what's happening to me?" I flinched when Jungwon throws his glass on the wall. Nagkalat ang bubog 'non. Lumapit siya at kumuha ng isa. Lumapit siya sa'kin, bahagya akong napatingala sa kaniya. Pumunta siya sa likod ko at tinanggal ang tali sa katawan ko. And even i can process anything, i was already infront of the body and already sucking out all the blood. The body paled. I need to stop. What's happening. I tried to stop, but i really can't. I'm already crying while sucking out the blood. To whoever this is, I'm very sorry.

I stopped when i feel that there's no blood anymore. I looked at my hands full of blood. My tears flow like a waterfall. Why is this happening to me. Jungwon squat infront of me. He lifted my chin using his index finger, he wipe the blood beside my lips. Then he smirked.

"Just like us, you're a monster too. Don't worry we'll guide you." He handed me the broken glass, and there i saw myself. From my
Mouth down to my neck there are blood stains, there's a fangs peeping out my lips and lastly my glowing red eyes.
