Perrie's POV

I sit in my lecture about finding the right vein for an IV when I start to doodle in my notes. At first it was random shapes until those random shapes start to turn into my beautiful future wife. I focus on her eyes, making sure to capture the way they crinkle just slightly like when she laughs before my pencil gets taken out of my hand. "Ms.Edwards. I know you may be tired from music but please pay attention. These are important notes.", the teacher sighs. "With all due respect miss, this is basic knowledge. Everyone knows that depending on the type of medicine it goes into one vein or the other or it goes deeper. Like with any type of surgical drug, it goes into the second vein to the hilt.", I say. Everyone else looks down and starts murmuring to themselves making me look around.

"Does no one else know that?", I question trailing off. "How do you know this Perrie?", the professor questions. "I performed surgery on one of my best friends to stop her from bleeding out.", I answer. "You do realize that you're not exactly qualified to do that right?", she questions. "Well it was either that or explain to a real surgeon how she got a katana stuck in her stomach and she didn't want her mom to know.", I say thinking about the time Leigh accidentally impaled herself with one of her katanas. She now knows not to practice in the dark. But of course when she was about to pass out from blood loss and Kamille was trying to get her to me she said and I quote, "It's my stab wound so mind your own damn business.", or at least I think that's what she said before she fainted.

"Hey Pez, I think my hearing aids are-oh you're busy. Sorry bout that, I'll come back later.", Jesy says going to close the door. "No no, go ahead.", my professor says. "Alright. I was saying I think my hearing aids are out of tune and it's giving me a killer migraine. You think you can get me something to numb it?", she asks. "Well first of all, tune them. And secondly maybe a six hundred Ibuprofen. If that doesn't work then go up a dose.", I answer thinking. "Thanks Pez.", she says fiddling with them. "Who taught you this stuff?", Professor Hill questions. "I taught myself with the help of a mentor. My friends and I got picked on a lot in high school so someone had to patch us up. First it was just bloody noses and light concussions and that turned into sprained wrists and hearing aid adjustments.", I answer.

"Stay back after the lecture.", she says walking back to the front. For the rest of the class I focus on my notes and tuck the drawing of Tori away in my pocket. At the end of the class, I walk to the front and sit down at her desk. "It seems that you are incredibly skilled already in the medical field. How would you like it if I got you an internship at a hospital? You'll follow around doctors, watch them operate, and you'll be in their attendant program to learn with other future doctors.", she says. "That would be amazing. Thank you so much Professor Hill.", I say happily.

Jade's POV

"Alright everyone, today we're doing our first crime scene investigation. If you look at the case file I have you before we came outside, our victim is Marcy White, she was shot two times, and reports say there are three suspects . The first, Carl Wester, his alibi, he was at work from twelve to six. The second, Alisa Johnson, her alibi, she was at her family farm all day. The last, Marshall Miller, his alibi, he was at the hospital with his mother. You have as long as you need to find out who did it. The crime scene is yours.", the professor says stepping away. I catch a whiff of something and walking over until I'm standing above a pile of something. I scoop it up on a cotton swab and smell it. "Chicken poop.", I say to myself. I read over the file on Alisa and find out her family was known for their organic chickens.

I sniff them poop again and nod. I sit back and wait for people to figure it out. "Has anyone got it yet?", he questions. "I think it's Marshall. You look at the camera records from his job and see that he left before he said he did.", a girl says. "But it's told that he went home to get his work ID and his landlord confirmed.", the professor says. The discussion goes on for a while before his attention turns towards me. "Jade, who do you think it is?", he asks. "It's Alissa.", I answer. "But it checks out that she was at the farm.", a boy protests. "But if you look over here, animal poop. What animal? A chicken only fed organic food. What family is know for their organic chickens? The Johnson's.", I say. "Very good Jade. You've just earned yourself a free A on the test we're about to take. I want to talk to you in my office.", he smiles.
