CHAPTER 10

LOVE BETWEEN RELIGION AND FAMILY

After that night I realized that what I did is the right decision for both of us. I was laying on my bed when mom enter the room.
“Bryan dear” she said while walking towards me.
“Yes mom” I uttered and slightly get up.
“I know your in pain after doing that decision” she said
“What are you talking about mom?” I asked with my surprise.
“Look dear, I am your mother and I have seen you act like this every time you broke up with your exes. There’s nothing wrong acting like this and.—” mom didn’t  finish advising when i hug her and cried like I am a two year old child.
“Mom..... Do you think what I did is good?” I ask
“Of course my dear, what you did is the best thing to do in order to have happiness in your heart. The regrets will always be there but after seeing the result of your doing especially when its good you’ll  realize that what you did is the right thing.” Mom said
“But how do you know this mom” I ask curiously
“I know this from Clifford. Remember when you went home with him from hospital? I ask him what happened and he told me everything and I’m  so thankful he got your back” she said “Anyways I like him for you” mom added.
“But mom he’s just my friend” I said while wiping up my tears.
“Son, you cannot see the worth of someone else if you kept on focusing to your past. Try to widen your peripheral vision and you will see there is someone wanting to care for you the way I do” Mom uttered and wipe my tears
“But mom I am still in pain.” I said
“Yes you were but that pain won’t  stay forever, right?” she said with a smile. “And I’ll  be glad if you found someone that could help you reach your dreams and the both of you will be successful together.” She added..
“thank you so much mom” I said
“Well if your okay, then come downstairs dinner is prepared let’s  eat someone visited you” she uttered and head off to the dining. So I followed, while walking downstairs I can hear Ethan’s voice. So i hurriedly went to the dining.
“Bry lets eat” Ethan said with a smile.
“uhm.....” I uttered and nodded my head.
“Tita,Tito, after this may I take Bryan out!” He said to mom and dad. Then my parents agreed. After dinner I went to my room and fix myself up for this on the spot hang out With this kiddo. Ethan take me to our old place, it’s  our grandma’s  house.
“What are we doing here? I uttered with my curiosity.
“Well I just want to take you here because I know you’re in pain, I just want to comfort you so I bring you here.” He said sincerely.
“Don’t have to do that Than, I’ll be okay” I uttered.
“It’s okay Bry, let me do this for you to you know... Make you feel comfortable.” I uttered. Then grandma went out and let us in. Grandma offered us a juice and there grandma talk about how she miss us like before. After of talking so many things grandma decided to sleep so we take her to here room and assist her for sleep.
“Than, grandma’s already asleep what do you wamna do now?” i started.
“Well come here, lets talk outside.” He said and we head off to the terrace. “Bry I met a girl recently and I’m afraid you’ll got jealous so I wanted to ask you a permission if I could be her boyfriend” He asked shyly.
“Woah.... Are you crazy? Hahahaha I moved on about what happened to us so you can love whoever you want, O won’t get jealous,” I said “By the way whats the name of this girl?” I added.
“uhmmm... She is Alexa De Vera” he said.
After hearing the ne of my best friend I said yes and I see the joy o Ethan’s eyes. This time I have to let him love whoever he wants because I have realised I am just his cousin and I should be happy for him.

(3 years later)
It’s been 3 years and everything had changed. Clifford finished his studies on time as well as mw and Alexa. Ethan is on his last year in college and Alexa his girlfriend kept on supporting him. I haven’t heard anything about Cris and I myself had moved on from the past.
After the graduation Alexa processed her requirements in applying to some companies and now she is already working as a regular employee. Clifford finish his studies one year before us and now Clifford manages his own café. While I is also managing my own career and that is the event organizing. Well I didn’t pursue teaching because I am a lazy type of person ao I decided to continue what my passion is.
Clifford is still into me, and I can’t help myself to fall in love with the person whose always there for me.

“Hello? This is Bry’s Event Oeganizing how may I help you” I said to the person talking to the phone.
“Uhm..... How good is this hahahahahaha joke Bry its me Clifford” Clifford uttered
“Yes Cliff? How may I help you?” I ask
“Uhm..... I want to see you later are you available?” He said.
“Okay sure see you later.” I uttered and he end up the call.
I’m driving my car heading to Clifford’s café when an unknown number called me.
“Hello?” I uttered.
“Is this the Bry’s Event Organizing?” he asked.
“Yes how may I help you?” I uttered respectfully
“Well My fiancé and I were getting married so I want you to organize my wedding” The client said.
“sure sir but unfortunately I have a meeting today, is it okay for you to book an appointment just send me the time and the place of the meeting” I said
“Sure” the client said and hang up the call. As I parked the car I immediately enter the café and look for Cliff.
“Cliff sorry did you waited for too long?” I asked as I found Clifford.
“No its okay its my place so I haven’t waited that much” he said with blinking his eyes like a two years old child.
“So what do you want to talk about?” I asked while sitting. As I sit on the chair the colour of the lights turns into red and music started to play “🎵panalangin ko sa habang buhay makapilig ka makasama ka yan ang panalangin ko........ At hindi papayag ang pusong ito mawala ka saking piling mahal ko iyong dinggin...... At wala nang iba pang mas mahalaga sa tamis ng iyong yakap minamahal kita........... 🎶“
“Clifford what are all of this?” I asked with my surprise. Clifford stand up and kneel in front of me.
“BRYAN MOOREIGN I waited for too long to ask you this, will you be the best part of me? Will you be my girlfriend?” He uttered. And I haven’t said any word but “YES I WILL”.
That moment Cliff ask me makes me feel the joy. Clifford was the whose always there for me and make me feel comfortable. He make me forget about what happened for the past 3 years and I can say that I’m in lobe with this guy.
Clifford hugged me and it feels like all I can hear is the music that is playing and the surrounding move very slowly. Clifford kiss me on my forehead and hugged me tightly knowing I love him after too long of his waiting. We are hugging awhen some of my friends clap their hands there I saw my parents, Alexa, Ethan and some of my closest member on my business.
Clifford and I are talking on the table when my colleague come to me and inform me that the one who called sent his time and place for the appointment. The next morning I bring Clifford with me since he wants me to be his partner in business.
As we arrive at the venue I saw the client sitting on the table so I walk towards him. As I stand in front of him I saw Cris sitting and he is my client. Then right after I enter Shental enters too. But as a professional I set aside and started telling them the plans and budget needed for their wedding.
“Bryan aren’t  you sad seeing me with Shental?” Cris asked out of nowhere. And I saw Shental look at him.
“Well Mr. Abrera, as a professional even organizer, I set aside personal problems but since you open it up let me answer it. Actually no I am not sad, in fact I am so happy for you two that you will be married amd I am the luckiest one who will prepare everything.”i uttered with respect.
“Uhm okay so it’s  the deal then?” he said.
“Okay sir, if you agreed then here is the contract both of you must sign so that if there is problem with the payments we cam negotiate thru it.” I uttered. And did shake hands with them. By loving Cris so much Shental become as religious as Cris while Clifford remains the same.

(THE WEDDING)
“is everything ready? The lights, the chandelier? How about the reception is it clear?” I uttered over the walkie talkie.
“Bry come on, be calm everything is fine” Clifford uttered and hold my hand.
“this must be good Cliff you know. So I can’t  help muself keep calm” I uttered
“Bry if you can’t  help yourself let me help you, maybe this hug could keep you cam” Clifford uttered and hug me tight.

As the wedding ceremony started everything went well I am at the choir’s dope together with Bryan watching Cris getting married to the woman who can make his family happy is priceless. My tears are starting to fall apart but Clifford comforted me again.
“Bry it’s alright everything will be okay” he said while hugging on me..
The wedding ended and all the guest head off to the reception. There I saw Cris standing alone so I walk towards him and talks to him.
“Cris, I am so happy for you” I started.
“Thank you, but how about you, who would comfort you? Who would take care for you?” he said with a teary eyes.
“Cris, don’t worry about me, your promise for me was continued by someone. All I want to see you today is to be happy, value Shental more than you value me. Create a Family that would make your family blissful enough.” I uttered and tap his shoulder.
“Bry thank you” Shental said at my back. So i turned her back.
“You know what guys, this is your weddinv and you were sad why can’t you be happy, okay Cris, love Shental more than m do not ever think of her that she was me because you will hurt her feelings okay and Shen, love Cris for me, value him as well and please lobe one another okay.” I uttered and hug them both.
As the reception done Clifford and I decided to go home. As we arrive at my place, mom welcome us in the front door with the key.
“For what is this mom?” I uttered.
“Well it’s for the both of you, I bought you a condo for you and Cliff to start building your own family, your already a grown up man be happy for what you want.” Mom said “I want 3 kids” father added and teased mom.
“dad, mom, thank you for accepting me and Clifford” I said and cry
“Bry don’t cry” Clifford said and hugged me
“”mom, dad, I’ll take good care of your child, I won’t do anything that will cause trouble in our relationship I promise.” Clifford said.
After that Clifford and I adopted 3 kids namely Vaughn Vincent Magno, Clark Jousetthe Magno and Alexxine Maiognette Magno. We got married at the Central Park so we were united as one.
Aexa and Ethan already happy for what they have. They travel a lot and create memories together.
And of course Cris and Shental are now happy buildung their family. Shental gave birth to a cute little baby boy named Timothy De Vera Abrera.
