CHAPTER 2

LOVE BETWEEN RELIGION AND FAMILY

Dan Gilbert Milandrino was my 4th ex-boyfriend. We are partners for only 1 month but in that 1 month he treated me like all gays wanted to be treated. He made me feel I am important. He is sweet He treated me like a women. But little did I know all he wants is material things so I decided to stop our toxic relationship. And I don't regret it. I'm walking across the street heading to the parking lot where i parked my mothers car when someone bumps into me.
"

Oh shiaaaa!" I shouted in my surprise
"I'm really sorry I wasn't looking at my way I'm in a hurry but I bumped you what an unlucky day hayyyst" he uttered
"No no its okay and in fact there's no serious injury at all" I uttered
"Wait, It is you on the cafe if I'm not mistaken?" He ask surprisingly.
"Uhm...... Are you the boy on the counter?" I ask
"Yes it was me, by the way I am Clifford Magno" He said while giving me his hand.
"Uhm nice to meet you, I am Bryan Mooreign" I reply getting his HLhands and we did hand shake.
"Again I am sorry but I am leaving I just need to go to hospital" He uttered.
"Uhm let me take you there I am on my way home, and I can pass by the hospital I can drop you there. I offered.
"Well if you want to then let's go" he answered immediately.
I can see on Clifford's eyes that he is really in hurry so I immediately grab the car and drove him to the hospital.
"Bryan! Thank you for dropping me here I need to go inside" He uttered in a hurry so we didn't talk that much. I wanted to say it's ok but he had disappeared. So I drove home instead.
"Mom, I am already home" I shouted
"Why are you shouting kuya?" Karlos said.
"Aww is Mom and Dad here?" I asked Karlos
"No they're not, I heard they're going to visit Lolo and Lola" Jayvie said while going downstairs.
"Ok, need to rest if you're borrowing Mom's car just knock me on my room" I uttered then I immediately went to my room.
I am laying on my bed when my phone beeps (you have a message from Cris) it is a notification from messenger. So i immediately open the chat
"Hi Bry how's you doing?" He said
"uhm....... I'm just fine I just got home" i reply
"Aww why? Where did you go? And what did you do? " he chat
"Uhmmm I just went out with Alexa." I reply
"Aw I see. Have you lunch yet? " he ask
"Uhm.... Nope not on the mood to eat." I reply. With a smile on my face like I am comfortable enough to chat him. But I need to hide this so that he won't realize I am happy to chat him.
"do you have class tomorrow?" he asked. I am shock he asked me that. am I assuming or is this something?
"Actually I have class but in the afternoon I am free from 1 P. M. To 4 P. M. " I reply
"Ok then can we meet?" He ask with a shy emoji in the end.
"Uhmm...... Where? " I asked wondering why is this happening to me.
"At the café near the park? I just want to say goodbye before I go home." He chatted. After reading that message I immediately agree.
"See you there Cris" i replied. Instead of replying to me he reacted it with a heart emoji.

(CLIFFORD'S P. O. V)
I am busy doing my part time job on the cafe when my sister called me....
"Hello Cliff? We're on the Hospital Mom was hit by a car she's now on the Emergency Room" she said while crying. I have nothing to do but to leave my job and hurriedly head off to the hospital when I bumped into someone.
"Oh shiaaaa!" He shouted in his surprise.
"I'm really sorry I wasn't looking at my way I'm in a hurry but i bumped you what an unlucky day hayyyst" I uttered While breathing fast.
"No no its okay and in fact there's no serious injury at all" He said
"Wait, It is you on the cafe if I'm not mistaken?" I ask surprisingly.
"Uhm...... Are you the boy on the counter?" he ask
"Yes it was me, by the way I am Clifford Magno" I said and offers my hand
"Uhm nice to meet you, I am Bryan Mooreign" he said and get my hand to do shake hands
"Again I am sorry but I am leaving I just need to go to hospital" I uttered
"Uhm let me take you there I am on my way home, and I can pass by the hospital I can drop you there." He offered. After hearing his offer I grab it just to be with my mom in the hospital.
"Well if you want to then let's go" I answered immediately. Due to an emergency I haven't talk to him properly. And I ran towards the emergency room
"Shen? How's mom?" I asked Shentall Magno my sister.
"Mom was crossing the road when there is a car running so fast and hit Mom, but the driver of the car just ran away" she said emotionally. So I hug my sister to comfort her.
"Shen it's okay Mom will be better soon she is strong I know she can survive, let's just pray for her recovery" I uttered while hugging her.
"Uhm excuse me? Are you the family of the patient?" the doctor said
"Yes doc, how is our mom doc?" I asked.
"well the patient is now stable she's under observation and luckily she has no serious injury at all, I advice you to take good care of her I'm leaving right now see you around" the doctor said
"Thank you doc" we reply.

(BRYAN'S P. O. V)
THE NEXT MORNING.........
"Bry, do you have an assignment on the Language Acquisition?" Krizza my classmate ask me.
"Actually I have I know you want to copy it so I'm letting you copy it" I uttered
"Thank you Bry" she said and goes back to her seat. The class is about to start when suddenly my phone vibrated. It is the unknown number again texting me but I always ignore it. So the class started and everyone in the room is paying attention while my mind is still thinking of Cris. The class ended and the teacher dismissed us. It's not 1 P. M yet so I decided to go to the restroom and fix myself up because I will be meeting Cris.
"hey Cris my class are done where are you?" i chatted him.
"I am still on my room I'm done fixing myself and I'm on my way to the café" He replied.
"I'll wait you there then" i said. He had seen it again but he reacted on to it. So i head off to the café all by myself.
"Bry, nice to see you again" Cliff said after opening the door.
"Good morning Cliff I'll be meeting someone today again hahahaha " I replied
"Uhm I'll be sitting right there" I uttered pointing the table near the window.
"Same order?" He asked
"Yeah thank you" I reply. Well I have nothing to worry that he knows my favourite since I am a long time costumer here. I seated to the table and waits for Cris to come over.
(PHONE RINGS) Cris calling
"Hello?" I asked
"Hello Bry? I need to apologize I can't come today I need to go back home as early because I have an errand." He said
"Aww ok....... I'm still in the school so no worries Bye bye" I uttered. I lied to him so that he would not be bothered anymore and hang up the call.
"Here is yout order Sir Bryan!" Cliff said and put the caramelised cold coffee and a slice of chocolate cake on the table.
"Thank you" I uttered
"Let me guess, the one you are meeting today cannot come right?" He said and seats on the chair facing me.
"How'd you know that? " I asked in sad tone.
"Well, I am working here for a long time and I can tell to the faces of the costumer if they had dates or they're being ghosted" He explained.
"I am not ghosted Cliff He Had an errand so he left earlier today." I reply wondering why did Cris never told me earlier.
"Ok sir, but if you want someone to company you today I am available my work is done here so I can company you, it's my way of repaying you for dropping me off in the hospital the other day. He said and left me eating on the table. But before he totally left I have to grab his phone number so that I can text or call him.
"Cliff!" I called and he hears it and turns back to me
"if you wanted to company me may I have your number?" I asked
"Yeah sure, here" he uttered and give me his number.

(CRIS P. O. V)
I am on the car near the café when I saw Bryan and the waiter talking. It saddens me seeing the one I am meeting is talking to someone else. Instead of coming over I called Cris and tell him I have errands. I know he lied to me because I saw him at the café waiting for me but I can't help. Myself being jealous to someone. So I drove home.
"Cris? You're home" Mom said
"Hi mom the party is great and sorry I have come home late." I uttered.
"Oh baby, what's with that face?" Mom said and holds my cheeks.
"I'm just tired Mom, I just need to rest." I said.
"Right baby better rest because at 6 PM we will be heading off to church we need to be there." She said.
Well I am Cris Abrera. Born amd raise by a religious family. The only son of Christine Abrera and Oliver Jake Abrera. Since i am the only child i had to follow the family rules. Like must be in church, must not be involved in a same sex relationship. But I can't help myself falling in love with Bryan.
In the society like I had is very hard. Because you must play the role of the one they wants you to be and if they're not you can freely express yourself. That's the reason why i hate going home here. But i have made my decision, whatever happened for me and Bryan I will fight for our love I just hope Bryan would do the same. All I need right now is to make him fall in love with me I will do anything that i could to make him comfortable with me. Because I am CRIS JHONSON ABRERA and I am strong and I have the confidence to win BRYAN MOOREIGN'S heart.
