YOU'RE DIFFERENT (NarutoxReader)

~Chapter 17: THE mission pt2~

The battle has started. Everyone separated since we all had different tasks. My task was to locate the akatsuki who was throwing the bombs. Apparently that one's name is Deidara. 

Gaara was my partner in the task.

Currently I was floating on sand in the sky chasing Deidara.

After a few minutes of back and forth combat in began to be clear for me the goal for the akatsuki was to kidnap all the jinchuriki which in this case was Gaara. The reason I came to this conclusion was because all the explosives were thrown at gaara. 

Naruto... please be safe at home. He holds the nine tails, and if its extracted from him he'll be dead...

I tried to push all my worry to the side to focus on saving Gaara and his village.

The battles been going on for about 20 minutes and I'm starting to get worried. I'm too far from my opponent to use my asuki and Gaara is only receiving attacks rather then throwing any. Meanwhile the rest of the team are clearly running out of chakra. 

"Gaara I need you to promise me something!", I yelled to him hoping he can hear me through the explosions.

"What is it!", he yelled back.

"I'm gonna go call for backup please promise me you'll stay alive..for your people..your family...naruto"

I could tell by his face that he was not confident and didn't want to promise something that he wasn't sure he could keep.

"please Gaara"

"i promise.", he said sternly.

He let his sand guide me to the ground. Once I landed I ran to one of the messenger birds and quickly wrote a note for emergency back up.

Since it was extremely urgent the leaf village decided to use their newest invention that could teleport people in 5 minutes. Although its really dangerous because it can cause death from the force of the wind carrying you in the portal.(a.n i invented this part to make more sense with the story^^)

After contacting the leaf I quickly left to the entrance to greet whoever was being sent here.

To my surprise I crossed bath with a puppet type of thing who was definitely part of the akatsuki according to his cloak. Which if I remember correctly this one is sasori.

"well hello pretty lady", he spoke.

"ew"

"dont be stubborn"

"I'm not?"

"what are you doing"

"die."

"why would I"

"Come on now sasori...dont be so stubborn" ,I said smirking.

I activated my asuki eyes and froze sasori. Hopefully the backups arrive soon cuz i dont know if ill have enough chakra to keep him frozen since he's a really strong opponent.

"Ah ur the asuki... we'll come back for you one day dont worry."

A few minutes later the team came. I was kinda shocked when I saw shikamaru, ino and choji. Obviously I'm still mad at Shikamaru. What he did was terrible but right now its a life or death situation so I kept it professional.

"HOLD HIM DOWN NOW.", i screamed.

My eyes started bleeding from overuse.

"Y/N!", i heard shika yell.

They all started fighting sasori to protect me. I let them take over so I could go back to Gaara.

When I came back everyone looked to defeated. I looked up and saw Deidara flying away with gaara.

"GAARAAA NOO WAKE UP GAARA PLEASE"

Tears started streaming down my face.

I let everyone down. everyone.

I used too much chakra and because of that i feel unconcious.

I woke up in a different room and was very confused.

"Oh good you're awake."

I recognize that voice...sakura? no.. hinata? hmmm no ino?

"Who?", I said

"its ino"

"I once again opened my eyes and looked to my side and it was ino as well as the rest of team 10.

I looked over to shikamaru who was sitting on a chair in the corner. His face was down and he looked very pale.

"Shika", I sat up.

"uhhh we'll be back", ino said smiling. She pulled choji and herself out of the room.

"y/n im sorry. ive realized so much. i get you dont have feelings for me. and i shouldnt of forced mine on to you. i deeply apologize and i promise with all my heart it will never happen again. youre my best friend and i cant afford to lose you. i love you too much for that. please forgive me."

"i forgive you shika", i said with watery eyes.

He got off the chair and walked over to me. I stood up and gave him a hug.

"ive missed you", he said.

"Ive missed you too"

The door opened and Temari walked in.

"oh.. hey temari", shika said.

"hey i guess. I just came to say hi. bye now.", and she left.

I looked at shika smiling. he looked flustered. "so temari huh;)"

"shut up y/n"

"wait why is she here shouldnt she be after gaara??"

"oh yeah about that, well umm team 7 is after gaara...", he stuttered.

"naruto is with them...?"

"yeah they're headed for the akatsuki base."

"naruto..", i worriedly said...

"we need to head back for the leaf."

"oh ok"

"dont worry too much y/n. I'm sure he'll be fine"

"yea"

I hope so...
