I do not own Harry Potter. I do not own the characters. I only own Alaina and the story ideas. I know this one is shorter than the others and I apologize for that. I had the chapters written and my computer crashed. Thank you all for being patient with me.

Recap:

After we returned, Alaina let go of my hand. It confused me, but as Father made his way in front of us I understood. The anger in his eyes even scared me. “It does not take three hours to get supplies. WHERE WERE YOU?!?” He shouted causing Ali to cower in fear. “We ran into Potter, Father. Alaina was getting to know him. It involved the Dark Lord's plan for her.” I tried to hide any hint of a false hood in my voice. It seemed Father fall for it as he smiled. “Good, the Dark Lord will be pleased. Now head to bed. You leave for school in the morning.” That set a smile of my dearest sister's face. We headed up to bed, but not before bidding each other goodnight.

The next morning

                Alaina’s POV

I woke quite early due to my excitement. I’d finally be with Draco all year! Father wouldn’t hurt me anymore, Draco said so himself. Even with all the excitement, I can’t help my fear as well. What if no one accepts me? What if people judge me because of my family? I know Draco will protect me, but I can’t rely on him and become friends with Harry. Slytherins are supposed to hate Gryffindors…oh no, what if I get placed in Slytherin?!? Father would bring me home and I wouldn’t see Draco for a whole term!

Sighing, I stare at the ceiling just waiting for Draco to wake. My wait was soon over as Draco stumbles into my room. “Ali, get up love. We have to get to the train. I’ll get all of our bags so just get ready. Don’t worry about a thing, okay sweetie?” He says as he kisses my forehead. Draco always talks so differently to me but I don’t mind really, I guess its his way of showing he cares. “Alright Dray.” I say as I quickly get up and put on the dress he had placed out days before. My favorite Slytherin dress, our colors shown on the finest silk I have ever worn.

“Brother, should I try not to be in Slytherin? Doesn’t the sorting hat take into account what I want?” A blush covers my cheeks as I contemplate the issues that would arise if I did not get places in Slytherin. He just chuckled and looks down to me, “You’ve been thinking about it a lot haven’t you? Yes, the bloody hat takes your opinion into account, but you are a Slytherin Princess whether you are placed with me or not. The Slytherins will treat you with respect or they’ll be dealing with me personally.” He smiles as he speaks soothingly. He’s right, I’ll be fine no matter where I am, he’ll protect me.

                Draco’s POV

I quickly shrink our bags and slide them into my pocket. “Brother, should I try not to be in Slytherin? Doesn’t the sorting hat take into account what I want?” A blush covers her cheeks as she stutters with concern. Chuckling, I look down to her, “You’ve been thinking about it a lot haven’t you? Yes, the bloody hat takes your opinion into account, but you are a Slytherin Princess whether you are placed with me or not. The Slytherins will treat you with respect or they’ll be dealing with me personally.” I smile as I try to sooth her fears. I will kill anyone that hurts her, I don’t care if they send me to Azkaban. She will be safe.

She smiles and visibly relaxes taking my hand. “Alright brother, when do we leave?” She questions trying to conceal the excitement that replaced her fear. “Now sweetheart. Remember that we have work to do though. It is not just about fun. Potter has to like you.” I tell her sternly as I pull her out of the room. She sighs tensing up again as we ascend down the stairs. It was easy to tell that she was nervous about confronting our father, so I gently squeeze her hand. Everything will be fine, if he tries anything I’ll hex him. She’s been through enough bloody pain.

We reach the bottom of the stairs where mother and father are waiting on us. Mother gives us a hug and smiles, “Alaina listen to your brother and do as he tells you. We don’t want any trouble from you, do you hear me? Oh and Draco dear, enjoy the term. I know you’ll make us proud.” I nod weakly as Ali nods furiously, bowing to our mother like a common slave. Once mother lets us go, Father moves in front of us. He smiles wickedly and opens his mouth to speak.
