Chi's POV

I got in pretty late last night and I wasn't able to sleep at all. I've been thinkin a lot lately about Lyla and I and how things are slowly dying. I don't wanna hurt her, but we aren't happy like we used to be. My eyes are hecka red and I got tear stains on my cheeks. I jus sittin on the edge of my bed thinkin as all these thoughts overwhelmed me. Then I heard a knock on my door. "Come in." I said lowly. "I see you finally made it in." Mosey said sittin down next to me. "Don't get on me rn." I said waving him off. "I ain't, I'm jus sayin you got a lot things to make right." He said before getting up and leaving. He right but it's easier said then done. I got up and headed downstairs.

Back go Lyla's POV

I couldn't sleep really lastnight, I was busy thinkin bout Chi and everything. I was downstairs eating sum ice cream still crying silently. I heard footsteps then saw Chi. I looked down immediately. I got my stuff and try to get by him. "Wait Lyla." He said lowly. "What." I said without looking at him. "Don't be like that." He said disappointed. "Nah ima say it like dat, cuz you wasn't there last night." I said crossing my arms. "C'mon yk that I know that we both know that's not the reason why you gotta attitude wit me." He said rolling his eyes. "Well genius what is it den?" I asked tilting my head to the side. "It's that me and you have been off lately and always arguing." He said. I nodded taking in what he was sayin. "Ok and?" I said confused. "We haven't been feeling as happy as we was when we first got together....." He said playing with his hands. "So whatchu tryna say?" I asked tearing up. "I think yk what I'm tryna say." He said finally looking at me. "What are you sayin Jonathan?" I asked. "I think we should break up." He said sadly. "What?! After everything. After the crash. After me dealin wit my momma dem." I said as a single tear dropped from my face. "You think I really wanna do dis?" He asked yelling at me. "Who you yellin at?" I asked lookin at him like if he had 3 heads. "Who standin in my face lookin dumb?" He asked. "I should slap you fr on slime." I said crying. "What's goin on." Mosey asked annoyed. "Ask Chi." I said hurt. "Whatchu den did naw." Mosey asked. "I said we should break up, cuz obviously she ain't got no love fa me." Chi said throwing up his hands. "Oh." Mosey said with wide eyes. I looked up and saw the whole gang shocked. "I jus know you ain't said that like I'm the problem." I said with my hand on my hip. "Cuz we both know it's yo fault, I gave you a chance and I specifically said not to break ma heart cuz it's broken enough. Now look at it it's in more pieces den befo." I said truthfully. "I knew I shouldn't have did dis." I said holding my head. "Whatchu mean?" Chi asked mugging me. "Dealin wit you, cuz I knew I was gonna get hurt." I said shakin my head. "I'm so-." He started to say. "Nah save it." I said walking away. "Oh since we should "break up" here." I said tossing him the promise ring. "NO Lyla wait." He said walking in front of my. "WHAT." I said exploding. "Pls jus at least keep it." He said without looking at me. I snatched den ran upstairs. "What's wrong?" Kay asked looking at me frowning. "I'm fine, pls go downstairs and give me a minute." I said wiping my face. She nodded then walked out. I sat on my bed and cried. Bro dis can't be happening to me rn. Dis gotta be a dream. We haven't been through as much as others, but we've been through enough wit each other. I went live and set my phone up. "Hey." I said weakly still crying. "What's wrong". I said reading one comment. "Chi and I broke up." I said then wiped my face. "Nooo not the power couple" "Nah Lay Lay talk to him". "I tried talking to him." I said holding my head.
