"Soo... You and Avril huh?"
You were leaning on Cassandra's doorframe with your arms crossed. You watched her struggle to take out the charger from the plug.
She grunted, not answering you directly.
It all felt awkward. You were clearly the cause of it aswell, and now you felt full of guilt.
You wondered what Avril was doing now.

"There is no me and Avril," Cass muttered as she finally ripped the charger out from the plug.
You frowned as she got up and handed you it.
"I'm not gay," she added, staring at you dead in the eye.
You hesitated. Maybe she's in denial.?

"Okay.. But look, even if you were—there's nothing wrong with it—"
"Sandy," she interrupted sternly. "I know you like girls, and i have nothing against that. I support the lgbtq+ community. But I'M not... I'm not gay! It's.. It's weird to say it out loud. 'I'm gay'— ew no!"

You sighed and gave her shoulder a comforting squeeze. You wondered if you had this problem before coming out, if you ever did come out that is. You wished you could explain to her how it was for you, but you couldn't remember.

"Cass, i'm not meaning to push but do you have feelings for Avril or not? How does she make you feel?"
She paused.
"She makes me feel lighter. I feel warm and happier around her.. She brightens my day, i guess.. But she's probably like that with everyone. Like, everyone loves her y'know."
You tilted your head.
"You know what i think you should do?" you said.
"What?"
"I think you should talk to her."
"But what if she hates me now?"
You giggled and crunched your nose as you ruffled her hair.
"Avril doesn't even know what 'hate' is! Come on, it'll turn out just fine," you reassured her.
Cass gave you a grateful smile and took a deep breath before walking past you, probably heading to Avril's room.

You turned around and watched her go. Relief washed over you. It felt good now. Before, you were worried that you had fucked things up, but fortunetely everything turned out well.
You glanced down on the charger that Cass had given you. You bounced the thing in your hand before making your way to Cordelia's room.
You decided to not follow Cass. They needed to talk about it alone.

You closed the door behind you and immediately went to the supreme's bed. Wait a minute, you thought. I am living the best dream. I've only known Cordelia for some days and we already share a room like a married couple.. I've gotten so comfortable here, maybe that's a bad thing? I don't want to take advantage of her kindness.
You sighed and glanced around the room. Cordelia truly is too kind. She's constantly giving, giving and giving.. But what have i returned? That's not how friends— or even partners— work together. I need to make something special for Cordelia. A gift? But what kind of gift..?

Your thoughts were interrupted by the door opening. You whirled your head to see who opened the door. It was no one else but the supreme. What a coincidence, you thought. I was just thinking about you.
You shared a moment of eye-contact before she spoke.
"Oh, sorry.. Didn't know you were here, Sandy," she murmured while walking to her desk. She rummaged through some things and added: "I just came here to fetch my pencil sharpener."
"Oh you don't need to apologize for going to your room, miss supreme," you answered as you gazed at her stressed-looking hand movements.
She scoffed lightly and stopped, turning to face you with her fist to her hip.
"Miss supreme? Why so formal?" she teased.
"Oh-.. uhh i don't know.. I just respect you i guess," you shrugged.

Her eyes travelled all over you. Sitting on your knees shyly with a computer charger on her bed. She found you rather cute, especially when you got flustered.

You didn't even have to look for clarification if she was watching you or not, you could feel her eyes burning through you. It felt intense, even though she didn't do much. Just a second of her attention on you made your belly tingle.
You bit your lower lip trying to prevent yourself from showing your excitement through a big foolish smile.
God, the things she makes me feel..

"Okay.." she said, finally breaking the tension in the air. "What are you doing?"
"Oh.. I was just about to plug this thing in.. so i can charge the computer n stuff.." you replied, still too shy to meet her eyes. "What about you?"

Normally you would just give short answers if you became flustered, but you wanted to have a nice conversation with Cordelia. You cherished these moments deep in your heart.

"Writing on boring supreme papers," she chuckled. "But  the tip of my pencil broke. That's why i came to fetch my sharpener."
She paused and looked over to the desk behind her, as if checking if the thing just magically came back.
"Have you seen it by any chance..? I can't find it."

"No," you answered with a small headshake. "But can't you just.. use your magic to find it? I read about the Seven Wonders.. Divination, is a part of that, right?"
Cordelia looked at you, seeming impressed with your knowledge. She gave you a smile of approval which made you all giggly inside. You loved praise, even in the smallest forms.
"Someone has been studying.. And yes, you're correct. I didn't really think of it until you mentioned it. Thank you."

"Oh, no worries- you're welcome!" you giggled and waved an, rather nervous, airy hand. When you stopped you immediately realized you were embarrassing yourself. God, why can't I function normally around her?

"You okay, Sandy?" she asked kindly and added a small smile.
"Huh? Yeah, why wouldn'd i be?" You replied with wide open eyes and raised brows. You didn't expect this question.
"Oh, no nevermind. You just seemed tense and i thought i made you uncomfortable or something. Or possibly anxious over something."

She's good at reading body language. Oh dear, i should really try to control myself if i don't want her to find out..

"Huh? Oh no, you needn't worry!" you reassured her with a convincing smile. "Just... a little tense after an awkward moment from before."
She raised her eyebrows. Well now you peeked her interest. Problem was, should you tell her? About Avril and Cass? You loved to gossip from time to time, and you wanted to tell Cordelia every little detail in your life. But maybe not this time. This is Avril's and Cassandra's business, not hers. Besides, you wanted to be a good friend and not spread gossip about them. You would certainly not like it if they told Cordelia about your feelings towards her.

"I am not telling you what happened, if that's why you became so quiet," you chuckled after some seconds.
"Oh.. keeping secrets, are we now?" Cordelia teased. "No it's okay. You're pretty much like an open book. If i really wanted to know, i would."
You swallowed hard. She probably didn't have a deep meaning behind her choice of words, but it still hit you. If she wanted to, she could find out about your feelings. She could find out about your crush on her.

"Uhh heh- yeah," you nervously exhaled. "Umm how's the Divination going?" you said to change the subject.
"Just about to start!" she replied happily and grabbed a pencil from her pocket. She placed it on her desk and hovered her hand above it. A moment later she was browsing through a paper pile.
"Aha, there you are!"
She picked something up from the pile and revealed it to you. The pencil sharpener!
"You found it! That's so awesome!" you exclaimed happily. "And you made it look so effortless, you didn't even have to close your eyes!"
Cordelia chuckled shyly and tucked some hair behind her ear. Now she was the one staring at the ground.

"Thanks.. Anyway, i need to get back to work. See you," she said.
"See you."

And with that she exited the room, leaving you alone to be on the computer again.
