Jiwan was the only one left in the room when she woke up. She feels exhausted, like she didn't sleep at all.
With a dry mouth and a throbbing head, it took her all the energy to stand up, go to the wash room and splash her face with water. She proceed to join the rest of the sculpture majors who are already outside.
They're at the deck of Do Hyeok's restaurant, soaking in the sunrise and the overlooking view of the ocean.
"Gosh, I feel awful." Jiwan complains as she occupy the empty chair facing the ocean. Glasses of water are being served by the owner's cousin and she gulped one full.
Still a bit dizzy, her eyes quickly recognizes Sol from a distance, walking from the ocean bay and heading back to their direction. She was with Se-Hun having a conversation about something indistinctive. He seems to be doing most of the talking, with Sol occasionally nodding.
Just great.
Yu Se-Hun doesn't waste one minute to bug my Sol now that I don't have the energy to protect her.
He must've waited for this and forced - no, begged Sol to go with him or something and she's too polite to say no.To her surprise though, Sol smiled at something he said.
Jiwan felt irritated for some reason.
"Do you even remember what happened last night, Jiwan?", Bitna calls her attention.
"I only remember the drinking games, but I don't remember anything after that." She closes her eyes in an attempt to recall more. Nothing.
"Sol took you to the room last night. You were too drunk that she had to carry you. She helped you clean up, washed your face and everything", Hye-won explains.
"Aigoo, Jiwan, how will you live without Sol? You should get a grip on yourself, you know?" Bitna adds.
They were being served their breakfast then. A hot bowl of glass noodles, just right for a day after getting wasted, not that anyone else was, except Jiwan.
She pretty much zoned out the rest of the conversation, just concentrating on eating her food. Shortly, she felt a light tap on her shoulder. It was Sol, handing her a hot cup of green tea - her hangover remedy.
"Take this, it will help relieve the headache", Sol said ,voice comforting, her smile gentle.
Ahh. Sol really knows whatever it is that she needs. Sol, her caring bestfriend, who knows her like the back of her hand. Her Yoon Sol.
If the others didn't tell her what happened, Jiwan wouldn't have had any idea about how much trouble she's caused her. Sol would never mention it herself.
Whenever Jiwan is in a pinch, Sol always helps her out then acts like she didn't do anything at all.
Sometimes Jiwan wonders if their relationship has become one-sided, with her doing all the taking. How she wish she can be half reliable as Sol is, that way she can depend on her, too. And yet Jiwan seems to always be the one depending on her. She probably can't last a day without her, like Bitna said.Just then, a sudden thought came to mind:
What if Sol disappeared from her life one day?She felt anxious.
What if Sol is only there because she thinks I can't make it on my own?
Have I been troubling her too much already?
What if she's getting tired of me?
What if one day she ends up liking Yu Se-Hun?
or that Ju-Hyeok guy? Then our times spent together will become less and less. What if I one day I have to live my life without her?
"Jiwan, you don't look like you're feeling better, are you okay?" Sol checks in before she spirals into even more negative thoughts.
Jiwan looked somewhat pale and disoriented.
"I think I need to lie down and get more rest".
"Okay, I'll come with you."
They left the rest of the gang and went back to the room, with Sol carefully guiding her every step. She tucked her in and waited for Jiwan to fall asleep before she left.
And then a strange thing happened.
She dreamed that Sol kissed her.
