Chapter 9 - Hunter, A Picture, And A Broken Door
Hayley's P.O.V.
Wednesday.
Cheeleading practise.
And I can't find my bloody uniform.
I was searching deep into my Narnia-like wardrobe for the stupid uniform. My usually neat walk in closet has clothes splattered everywhere. And the avalanche of attire has somehow made it to my bedroom. There was even a bra hanging off a shelf.
I turned around after I went through the last wardrobe and sighed at the mess I made. I went over to the shelf and tried the grab my bra.
Then I had some strange gut feeling, that something was going to happen.
I questioned the feeling, but it soon made sense once I heard grumbling, and someone yelling out a string of cuss words.
I quickly grabbed my phone off my desk and had the camera ready, but hid it behind my back.
The door opened and in stepped Hunter.
Except he wasn't in his usual clothing.
I burst out laughing when I saw him in my cheerleading costume. It was way too small to fit over his muscles, it was on the verge of ripping.
"What are you doing?" I said in between laughs.
"Who put this on my last night?" He said with steam coming out his ears. Not literally, because if he had steam coming out of his ears, he's got a problem, just another one to add to his long list.
"I don't know, I've been looking for that uniform all morning." I stated truthfully. He looked at me, analysing if I was lying.
"Well, I need someone to cut this off me, because I can't get it off." He grumbled.
"No! I need that uniform today! I'll get it off you." I reassured.
"But first, lemme take a selfie!" I screamed out as I took a photo of him.
I looked at it and I got him at the perfect moment.
"Hayley, delete that photo!" He screamed as he lunged for the phone. Except the uniform was constricting him from much movement so I dodged him easily.
I made my way to the door and slammed it on his face as he ran behind me.
"Hayley! I am going to murder you!" He yelled from the other side of the door.
"Murder is illegal you idiot!" I retorted back in a teasing manner.
"I'll make it legal!"
"Worst comeback ev-" I didn't get the chance to finish my sentence before Hunter slammed through the door, ripping it off its hinges, and breaking it in half.
I covered my mouth in shock. Hunter went pale as we both stared at the door. Our parents will murder us, legal or not.
"Don't say anything." Hunter blurted.
"How do I do that? I have no door anymore!" I fretted.
I then heard footsteps coming up the staircase. Hunter and I both lunged for the broken parts of the door to hide them, but we were too late. Our parents were standing at the other end of the hallway, looks of horror masked on their faces. Either because of the broken door or Hunter wearing a cheerleading uniform.
"What have you two done!" My mom exclaimed.
"It was Hunter's fault!" I blamed, at the same time Hunter said "It was Hayley's fault!"
