Chapter 11 - Hayley Number 2

Hayley's P.O.V.

Walking into the party, I couldn't believe how cliché it looked. It was a shocking site though. People acting like lunatics, highly intoxicated. Girls and guys doing the bump-n-grind on the temporary dance-floor. Couples making out in every corner, and disturbingly enough, I watched quite a few of them going upstairs to the bedrooms.

"I'm going to get a drink, do you want one?" Tori asked over the music, which I recognised it to be Swing by Savage.

"No thanks." I replied, feeling really out of place here. I wanted to leave so badly, but Tori already disappeared into the crowd.

Let loose Hayley, have some fun.

But fun is dangerous.

Ha, so is eating McDonald's, but most of the population still eat it. Now go and start dancing.

I walked to the dance-floor, watching people executing the extremely sexual dance moves.

I sighed, feeling really out-of-place. I could sense a presence near me, and I was correct, a boy came and stood next to me.

"It looks like you really want to leave." He pointed out the obvious, half screaming because of the loud music killing my sense of hearing.

"Yeah, I do."

"Why don't you go then?" He asked, taking a step closer to me.

"I came here with a friend, I can't ditch her."

"I was stuck coming here also. A friend dragged a bunch of us along."

For the first time, I turned to see who this guy was.

I recognised him, he's on the football team, except he's really twig-like and scrawny, as well as tall, and is usually benched for most of the games. I've overheard Hunter complain about how he's a really crappy football-player. I wonder how he got in the team... He probably paid the school a whole heap of money to play, he does have a stuck-up rich-kid aura about him.

"So, what school do you go to? Haven't seen you at Barker High." He inquired.

What a surprise, he doesn't recognise me.

"I go to Barker High." I answered, slightly pissed that he didn't know who I was. Yeah sure, I'm pretty much invisible, but we've been in the same English class for two years...

"Oh." He looked away from me, looking slightly embarrassed.

"So what's your name?" He asked while rubbing the back of his neck, must be a nervous habit.
