It fits in pretty well (:  Another note-- if you ever want a chapter in another POV, tell me who and I just might ^-^

_Chapter 6!_

“No, wait. I want Dash to have my last name; it’ll mean a lot to me…” I cut him off.

“Alright,” he sighed but then his eyes lit up a little bit and he said, “But if he has your last name, can I pick his middle name?” His expression was so hopeful I couldn’t help but wrap him in my arms. “Whoa, what’s that all about?” he chuckled and hugged back.

“Yeah, yeah you can.” I pulled back and he smiled.

“I want Brice. It’s my father’s name.”

“Dashiell Brice Mathis.” I said slowly, liking the sound of it. My phone began to ring, blaring “Breaking Point” by Crown the Empire. I looked at the caller ID and it read Victoria, so I quickly answered it before it woke Dash.

“Eric is coming by this afternoon to talk to you honey, do you know what you want to do? This is 100% your decision, and I’ll back you up no matter what. But be prepared for a whole lotta ugly coming your way if you keep him, love. Get him ready, I want to see the cutie.” She hung up before I could reply and I set my phone on the coffee table.

“Will you watch him while I take a quick shower? I’ve been taking one at Shy’s house where Tori can keep an eye on him. Alec nodded and I left down the hall.

A few minutes later, I entered the living room and neither of the boys was in there. Not wanting to have a panic attack too soon, I quickly checked my room (Which I now shared with Dashiell), and Alec was going through the baby clothes and shaking his head at them all. “Well, Dash. You really need to stop letting your mommy pick out your clothes.” He chuckled and I fought to keep myself from laughing, even though it felt weird hearing him say ‘mommy’ in reference to me. I’ve been finding myself sneaking up on his cute moments a lot lately; it makes me feel a little creepy... Does this mean he wants to hold the father title? The baby cooed in response and Alec pulled out a blue and red outfit with cars on it. “Seriously man, you need a makeover if you want to really win the ladies over.”

“He shouldn’t need new clothes to win anyone over, Alec. Just look at his face.” I gushed and finished dressing him, beginning to fold back the heap of clothes strewn around my bed.

“Alright, alright. But when he’s older and you still dress him, he’ll despise you!” he grimaced at the little cheesy-lined onesies at the top of the pile.

***

We went to the Garrett’s and I was immediately bombarded by Victoria, “Oh, he’s so big!”

“Tori, it’s been less than twenty four hours.” I mumbled and Alec grabbed the diaper bag from the car.

“Whatever, he’s a growing boy!” she grumbled and padded inside the house. Alec and I followed her into the living room, where a man in a suit and tie was sitting. He had a briefcase and shiny business-man shoes. He looked about Victoria’s age, and pretty good looking. His dark hair wasn’t too short or long and suited him perfectly. All around, he seemed pretty friendly for a lawyer.
