4. Day with riot?

Jake had a free day since Gloria and romona are spending time with peter alone.

Jake started to jog around the houses near him until he stopped at a pond where he saw a woman sitting on the grass.

He recognized the black reflected blue curly hair from the fall fair, it was riot.

she had on a black cami embroiled top and a skirt with the same kimono as she had on at the fair, she had a big floppy hat instead of flowers in her hair.

Jake walked towards her taken by the way she was sitting, the scene looked like it was a painting.

"Riot?" Jake asked, riot looked up and smiled.

"Oh hi there jake" she said as she picked a dandelion, "what's up?" He asked not knowing what to say.

"Just day dreaming" she sighed dreamily as she looked up at the sky, "about what?" He chuckled as he sat next to her.

"Life" she turned to look at him, "I always wanted to go to New York" she said serious.

"It's not that great" he said as he was tugging on the grass, "it sure beats this plain town" she sighed

"I want to be famous jake" she said, "by doing what?" He asked confused.

"Anything I can draw, I can sing, or I can act" she said proudly.

"What's stopping you?" Jake asked which made her move to him so now she was I front of him besides next to him.

"Family" she said as she stared at him, "failure" she added.

"Is it really just what your family thinks of what will happen or you?" Jake asked admiring her one dark freckle beside her lip and one under her eye.

"Don't know I keep hearing failure more than success in this town" she said as she looked down at his lips

"Maybe I'll be the first to say riot you can succeed" he said as his heart quickens.

"You are the first" she said as she felt herself get closer, "you are something special jake" she added as they were only inches apart.

"You're more" jake said heartedly

"jake!" The two heard a girly shout behind them which caused them to pull away from the almost kiss.

Jake turned around seeing Emmy in her shorts and shirt.

"Hi Emmy" jake said wishing she didn't interrupt him and riot.

"Jake what are you doing with riot?" She giggled, "I bumped into her" he said looked at riot even though her body expression felt uncomfortable.

"Hey riot back off" Emmy said forcefully, "don't talk to her like that" jake said as he glared at Emmy by her attitude to riot.

"It's fine I'll be leaving" riot said as she pushed her hair behind her ear, she got up and walked away.

"Riot please" jake pleads, "no it's fine nice to see you jake" she said awkwardly nods as she walked away from them.

"What a weirdo well jake come on" Emmy smiled, "fine" jake said still watching riot walk away.

"What's her actual name?" Jake asked, "who riot?" She asked he nodded.

"Don't know people stopped calling her by her name when she finished high school" Emmy said, "why is that?" He asked.

"Don't know but she's just a weirdo" she said, "how so?" Jake confused by that statement.

"Doesn't matter let's go" Emmy said annoyed.
