12. Maggie hangs out

"Thanks for having me" Maggie said as becca handed her wine, "it's no problem" becca smiled

"Sorry I'm late Bryan wanted to have some time together after the kids left" Paula winked as she put her coat down.

"Ew" foebe gagged as she came in the room with a wine bottle, "is that all for you?" Daena asked.

"It's chocolate wine and I love chocolate" foebe said which caused Maggie to giggle.

"So you and jake?" Maggie asked riot as she turned to face riot, "yeah?" Riot giggled.

"It's a first time seeing jake with someone that isn't blonde and tall" Maggie giggled, "I'm not his type?" Riot asked.

"I wonder what captured him because you're so unique and different than all his girlfriends" Maggie said drinking her wine.

"It's a shame he's leaving" becca sighed, "let's admit Maggie your brother is extremely attractive" Paula giggled.

"I've heard that before" Maggie giggled, "how's the movie?" Riot asked.

"It's great can't wait for you guys to watch it" Maggie smiled.

"Let's play cards against humanity" foebe suggested, "sure" they all agreed

Riot began to buZz, "is it your little boyfriend?" Paula asked with a smirk.

Riot picked up her phone noticing it was from jake, "it is" riot giggled.

Riot got and went to the kitchen, "hey jake" she said through the phone.

"Hey riot how are you?" He asked sounding agitated, "I'm fine are you?" Riot asked hinting at his tone.

"I'm great but I um...can't keep seeing you sorry" jake said, riots eyes widened by his remark.

"Why?" She asked as her heart was slowly breaking, "i found out that I'm actually still in love with my ex" jake said.

Riot didn't speak she just held the phone to her ear as her heart was slowly shattering from that statement, "riot?" Jake asked.

Riot didn't answer but cut the call.

"That bastard!" Riot yelled as she grabbed a glass cup and smashed it.

"What happened?" Becca asked running in, riot looked up with watery eyes as she saw all her friends standing there concerned.

"The glass um broke" riot said embarrassed

"I can see but why are you crying?" Becca asked, "it's strange seeing riot crying" Daena asked which earned a smack from foebe.

"Jake broke up with me" Riot said, "aww why?" Becca asked.

"He is still in love with his ex" riot said, "aw I'm so sorry" Maggie said going to cuddle riot.

"Let me clean this up" riot said still in Maggie's arms, "no no you sit down and calm yourself" becca said.

Maggie led riot to the sofa as riot cried on her shoulder, this was the first time riot ever cried for a boy in a long time.

"Why did he have to do this?" Riot asked, "I actually did like him" she added.

"I don't know" Maggie sighed as she rubbed riots shoulder
