The day had started normally. Sanemi getting up early-ish and taking a shower. Finishing as he opens the door out of his room and grabs his swimming clothes and fishing stuff. Telling his mom about the future events of his day; going fishing for most of the day, he grabs some breakfast and preceded to make himself lunch. He settled with a sandwich and chips, somehow the food always tasting better when near bodies of water. Strange isn't it. But as he finished making it he put the food and utensils in his bag. Waving goodbye to his mom and opening the front door of his house, of course after grabbing the necessary keys and putting on his shoes, he walks to his car in the driveway and starts it up.
The morning Sun hitting his eyes harshly, and as an instinct Sanemi pulled down the cover for the window in front of him to not risk hurting his eyes. Also because if he couldn't see that would be a very big and clear problem. He rolled down the windows, letting the fresh air flow through his nose and throughout his body.
Finally after a few minutes of driving; the traffic being a little bit more prominent causing it to take longer, he arrived at the boat shop.
"Here's your boat, you can get it for as long as you like." The man behind the counter says.
"For free? Ya, like I believe that."
"Haha, gotcha. Fine, it's 1000 yen (10 dollars) per hour." He messes with Sanemi.
"Fine then I'll get it for 4 hours, here's the money." Sanemi says, a little fed up with the dude in front of him. Who knew why he got ticked off but it was just a gut feeling.
"Thank you sir, go along now I have other customers."
"Got it, bye" Sanemi said as he left the reception desk.
*Asshole*
After finding the boat he untied the ropes keeping it in place, hopped on and began to go along his way.
A minute in Sanemi has a little flashback of him being 5-
"Hey, Dad?" Little Sanemi asks.
"What?" Replies the father, annoyed at the company.
"Why do you like fishing so much?" A reasonable question.
"'Cause there's so much potential in what you can find, and knowing that there's so much to find that scientists have yet to explore, it pushes me to one day find something no one else has."-
Sanemi snaps back to reality with the sad truth that, that memory just now might be the best one between him and his father.
After 20 minutes of getting out of the loading dock area and getting closer to the middle of the upcoming ocean, he stops and turns off the motors to see something around 10 feet ahead of him.
*What the fuck is that? A seal... tangled in seaweed this close to shore?...Is it migrating season for them already? And in fresh water?... Whatever fuck it, I don't want it to die, since those things are going extinct anyways.*
Sanemi realizing that his reasoning was stupid but still continuing on with his small goal.
As Sanemi inches closer with the boat, only turning on the motors very slightly, he hops into the water with his bathing suit on, and starts to pull the seaweed off of the seal. The seal who was shaking before was shaking even more obviously, clearly extremely uncomfortable. So Sanemi proceeded with caution.
Once he reached the last two strings of seaweed and the seal stopped freaking out, Sanemi pulled the last two with confusion and caution, because what he saw was the most abnormal thing he's ever seen.
*Holy shit... what the fuck-?*
The seal was extremely shiny and not normal. What Sanemi had though to have seen a seal, was quite in fact, not a seal. Instead it was-
648 words so I re-wrote this slightly because it was really bad and those who weren't here for the before chapter, don't worry. Have a nice day y'all.
