Crazy rain storm. It's been a week since. I haven't had any word from Gray for four days and a week from Thing. I am scared now. It's been a minute, I am so scared.
Well let's go, to the park. Let's hope someone is there.
I ride my bike down to the park. The wind calms me. Crash. "Ow."
I hit a speed bump. I sit up and look at my knees and elbows. Only one scratch on my knee. It burns a little. "don't worry about the burning. It'll go away eventually." I hear Gray say above me. I smile and look up at him. He's gotten taller. Standing up above me with his curls in perfect place. Smiling his sugar smile. He holds out his hand and I take it. He is warm. Very warm, in fact I am starting to warm up myself. "How have you been, sweets?"
I smile. "Worried. I have been doing good, but worried."
"Never say good. Besides the proper way to say it is I have been doing well, not good." Gray says.
I laugh a little. "Something is different, Gray. What's bothering you?"
Grays sighs and then smiles. "You have learned well. That's very relieving for me."
I stop waking and look at Gray puzzled. He looks back at me troubled. "What?" I ask finally.
He takes my hand and sits me down on the gravel. "This is going to be the last lesson I give you. My time is soon. I mean crazy soon Ares. I am out of time." He says, face red.
I look at him hard in disbelief. "No! It can't be soon! I need you! Gray..." I scream.
Gray closes his eyes tight. His face is crazy red now. "I know. Ares, I need you too. That's ok, because I have you..." He smiles a little.
Now my face is red. "What do you mean?" I ask.
Gray puts his feet down. Revealing his jerked up black converse and lively faded blue jeans, a red jacket that is cut up and a black and white robot shirt. "Look at my eyes, Ares."
"Ok." I say low and perfuming with love.
"Now look into my eyes." He says low.
I just smile. "What do you see?" I stay silent. "Love?" He asks again.
"Yes." I say.
Gray smiles his sugar smile and says "I love you, Ares."
He kisses me hard and full on the lips. He looks at me and his face goes red. In a panic he gets up and runs off and away.
