"Do you know what a snowball affect is?" I ask him as he stands behind me silent.
"I do, yes." He says.
"Did you notice how Grays death had a snowball affect?" I ask.
"Yes. I am hopeful it stops here as well Ares." He says clearing his throat.
I laugh. "It won't stop here. I have to continue."
"You're hardly the type of person that would off themselves even in a time like this when literally everyone around them is dropping like flies." he laughs.
"In a positive way, thank you," I look behind at him and signal for him to sit next to me. He follows "James taught me the importance of strength. Something about Spartans or Kings of Leon. who knows. Either way, I will carry on his legacy like a true warrior."
"King Leonidas, Ares. Good luck. You deserve happiness after this. I don't know what I would do if this happened to me. You're a strong kid, like Leonidas." He says simply.
"Who is Leonidas?" I ask.
"Look, I am sorry about Markas and Brandon. I hear that the second they let go of each other was the second they died. Don't worry though, the man who shot them is in for life." He told me completely off topic.
I sigh. "Don you have any place else to be? You never stay this long." I tell him pulling up weeds from the bank.
He looks at his watch "I do. But I think I will stay longer," he takes a deep breath in "I know why those boys loves being around you so much."
I look at him. "You are the most calming person I know. Just being around you is like a totally different time in life. I feel like a kid again. No worries, no cares. It's nice."
I smile "Like Markas and Brandon?" I ask.
He chuckles. "Those two were in love something fierce. They actually moved into the same room together when Gray died. They were inseparable. It was crazy! I mean you thought they were in love then, shoot. You should've seen them before... Well you know." He and I both sighed.
"I must be off now. Enjoy life as much as you can. And remember as always. I don't exist." And with that he walked away. I haven't seen him since.
I have a feeling Markas and Brandon are alive somewhere in the galaxy. I can feel it.
We all had this strange bond with each other, one that let us know when the other was hurt or alive or anything for that matter. It was scary amazing. Thing and Gray are dead, they are gone, forever. But Markas and Brandon are alive somewhere. I don't know why it's them two, we all know Id much prefer knowing Thing and Gray are alive, but alas, in the least someone is alive, somewhere.
