Luna Ramirez wasn't always the outgoing and energetic girl she is now. In fact, she was very shy as a kid, her issues with her father making her unable to socialize normally. Her mom noticed the way her daughter struggled with not only making friends but also just socializing on a daily with kids her age.

From a young age, Luna loved to dance. Anytime she heard music the girl was constantly moving. Her mom also took notice of that and signed her up for a local dance class in their neighborhood. Luna was an anxious child at times, the thought of being surrounded by other girls her age making her want to climb into bed and hide forever. But, her mom practically forced her along with Peter who gave her nothing but encouraging words. Something she didn't really understand.

Seven-year-old, Luna entered her ballet class for beginners, standing all the way in the back and fiddling with her tutu while Maria Adams sat anxiously watching her daughter. That was until a curly-haired, brown-eyed, and energetic little girl ran up to her and begged for her to be partners in some pointless exercise.

Olivia Baker was always taking new kids under her wing and Luna was no exception but there was something different about their interaction. They had clicked instantly and Luna opened up to her...as much as a seven-year-old possibly could. Laura Baker who was coincidentally sitting next to Maria noticed the interaction, the two women sparking up a conversation once they realized their daughters were slowly becoming best friends after only two hours of ballet.

"Mami!" Luna ran up to her mom, holding Olivia's hand tightly. "Look, I made a friend. Her name's Olivia and the boy sitting next to her mom is her twin, Jordan!"

Maria practically melted at the sight of the two friends. Her heart bursting with pride as she witnessed her daughter making her very first friend. "Oh, mija, I told you it wasn't so hard!"

"Mom! Mom!" Liv yelled at Laura Baker and her brother who sat quietly next to the blonde woman. "Can Luna sleepover, please? She's my best friend, now! Jordan say hi to my new friend."

Seven-year-old Jordan Baker blinked his eyes profusely at the sight of the raven-haired girl in front of him. He lifted his hand up and gave her a shy wave, smiling softly after. "Hi, I'm Jordan, I'm 7, and I like football. Burgers are my favorite food."

Luna giggled, sharing a smile with Liv before she glanced at him. "Hi, I'm Luna, I'm 7, and I like to dance. But, I hate burgers."

That comment had started Jordan Baker's infatuation with his sister's best friend. Sure, he was only seven, so he wasn't too aware of what a crush was. But, as they grew up, he realized that Luna Ramirez...was the girl for him.

Olivia Baker and Luna, on the other hand, had become best friends. Liv had broken Luna out from her shyness. The two girls had told each other everything and let each other in on their deepest secrets. And Liv was always the one wiping her best friend's tears after her father had disappointed her over and over. Some things just...never changed.
