Aska lunged on Delilah, "Ow! You asshole! You're huge ass body could kill me fattie!" Delilah yelped out.

"Hey, mind your language young lady, and Aska stop jumping on your sister," his father creeps in from the other room.

"But she jumped on me fir-" Aska was interrupted, "Jesus Aska, be responsible. She is 7,"

Aska groaned and nodded, "Yes father, anything for you father," he eyerolled.

Their father walked back into the living room and the two stared at each other.

"Fatass,"

"Baby,"

"Asswipe,"

"Little child baby gremlin,"

Aska laughed and Delilah walked outside flipping him off.

——

As Delilah sat outside on the concrete in the rain, she picked up a fallen apple bloom and smiled, it was raining. She put it on her head but it fell off when someone spooked her.

"Young Delilah, you shouldn't be out in the rain this late, you might catch a cold," their butler grabbed her shoulder.

The girl, batting the butler's hand away, shook her head. "It's comforting, now shoo."

"But your father will kill me-"

"I'll tell my dad you were disobeying my interests,"

"Yes ma'am!" He runs off, making Delilah chuckle.

——

The girl walked back inside late at night, and Aska spun in a spiny chair. Isn't that cliche? "Where have you been?"

"Outside."

"In the rain?"

"Mhm."

"It's late."

"Mhm."

"Go to bed."

"No."

Soon enough though, the eldest got Delilah to sleep by snuggling with her. "You are such a child," Aska says, exhausted, while holding close to his sister.

"No I'm.... no i-.." Delilah was by then fast asleep, making Aska smile softly and go to bed too.

——

It's the next day and Aska couldn't find Delilah when he woke up, which kind of confused him. He sighed, getting up and checking her room she had gotten when she finally turned 6. She wasn't there. "Odd, she loves her room," thought aloud the prince.

The boy, who went downstairs looking for a gremlin child, figured she wasn't there either before he took the last step down. As he went back up he went to the bathroom, he didn't really care if she was there or not, but he needed to use the toilet.

He kind of cared.

He cared.

He loves his sister.

Aska sat balled up on the toilet trying to think. "Where is she?"

Don't you hope she's dead?

No, of course not!

Someone is dead~!

...what?

Aska's heart stopped beating, his breath become quicker, as he searched around the whole house but the room he wasn't allowed in. His parent's room. He slowly opened the door, and there she, her father, and the butler was.

"Mama? Why won't mama wake up papa!" Delilah asked, but she didn't seem sad she just seemed annoyed.

Their father looked at Aska, who finally saw their mother, laying sprawled on the bed, being softly slapped by his sister.

"M-mom?" Aska's voice cracked, him trying to hide his tears as he ran to his mother's side. "Mom!" Aska screamed.

A boy, already sad enough, with a loving father and sister, only the age of 14, has now lost his mother. His mother was gone forever, a concept his 7 year old sister wouldn't understand.

——

"When is mom gonna wake up?" Delilah groaned, wanting to play the xylophone with her. "Honey, your mom is... is gone for a long time."

Delilah's angry face turned into a frown, "Why? Is mom leaving?"

"Yes honey..."

"Oh.."

That was the easiest way for her father to explain what happened. He was crying but hid it from the youngest. "Aska come here, I need to talk to you."

Aska walked over to his father, sitting down on a barstool. "Hm?" Aska said tearfully.

"To get your mind off it, I have hired someone to help you fight."

"You told me I'd never have to learn to! That the kingdom was safe!" Aska whisper-yelled, clearly remembering her father telling them that they were safe within the walls.

"Yes honey it is," his father ruffled Aska's hair before continuing, "but it would be good to learn how to fight if you ever wanna leave!" He smiled softly.

Aska almost melted into his father's hand, but just nodded. Aska wanted to be big and act big, for him and his family.

There was a knock on the kingdom door, "Let me go get that!" Their father nodded to them, as he ran to get the door.

"Aah you're here! Aska come quickly!"

Aska ran over, staring at a set of twins and a girl. They all looked relatively the same, thought the young prince.

"Hello prince, uh- you are kind of ho-" one of the twins said before he was elbowed by the girl.

"Sorry about this luny, hi, I'm Lilith, that's Eni and Eno."

Aska stared at them, and made a crinkled face, "Eni looks manky,"

That gained a laugh from Lilith, "Yes yes he is!" Eni was now crying in a ball.

Delilah ran over and slapped Eni's head. "Delilah!" Their father yelled, picking her up.

"No really let her keep going-"
