It was around 8 pm and I got a text from Stokeley.

Stokeley- You wanna come over?
My moms making your
favourite for dinner.
Thought you'd want in.

I look up at boyfriend, cuddling me in his arms as we watch a movie.

In my mind I have two options, the first one is to remain where I am and spend the rest of the night with my boyfriend.

The other includes, spending just an hour, maybe even two if I'm lucky, with a brown haired boy who effortlessly makes me feel like I'm on top of the world.

A boy who's smile can brighten up the depths of hell, his nose crinkling when he does so. Not to mention his extremely adorable, yet raspy, laugh.

Despite his charismatic personality and features, he has this mesmerizing side to him that drove me insane.

If he maintained eye contact with me for too long, my knees fell weak. Or if he even said or did something remotely sexual, my mind would exercise the thought more than i should've.

His mannerism and gestures were incredibly fascinating and undeniably attractive.

It's odd to think of him in this way because we're friends. Good friends.

Actually, best friends. Considering we've known each other from the cradle, we've been around each other for as long as I could remember.

In the end I chose the obvious answer:

The boy who I was so infatuated with, it was almost overwhelming.

I made up some stupid excuse for my boyfriend, telling him id be back.

Once I arrived at his door, I knocked softly and seconds later, he opened it in all his glory.

He was wearing a t-shirt and some casual shorts, nothing over the top. Yet, he still wore several, heavy diamond chains around his neck like it was the norm.

I don't get a chance to look at him long as I would've liked, seeing as though he had immediately pulled me into a hug, greeting me and gesturing for me to enter.

"Mom!" He yelled as we headed for his room

"Celias here!"

Weird, but I like the way my name sounds coming out of his mouth.

When we got into his room, he plopped down on his bed, landing on his back and asking what I wanted to do in the meantime while the food was being finished.

Before I got to answer, his cat wandered into the room.

After knowing her for so many years, she didn't hesitate to say hello.

I knelt down and scratched her ear as she attempted to bite my hand playfully, me speaking to her in that typical high pitched voice.

Stokeley sat up and laughed at me and the things I said to it, making me playfully flip him off.

We fell back into our usual routine and for a moment I forget I'm madly in love with him.

That was until there was a silence in which we just stared at each other for no explainable reason.

And everything I had ever liked about him flooded my mind.

He didn't look away at first, which is one of the things I liked. Stokeley was bold and carefree.

At times, he made the world his bitch and simultaneously said "fuck you"

But then he broke eye contact shyly and looked around the room for something else to talk about.
