"WAKE UP!!!" I woke up instantly to find Aldia glaring at me. I rubbed my eyes, "What the heck are you doing here?"
She lowered her voice to a whisper, "We have a slight problem."
(At HQ):
"WHAT?!" I was raging mad, "WHY?!" Apparently, the remaining 7 owners besides us were teaming up to hunt us down.
Aldia sighed, "They heard that we managed to eliminate Alder. They all knew of his power and precisely how dangerous he was." She finally made eye contact with me, "We need to strike first."

(2 Days Later)
We stood alone in the middle of the main road, late at night, surrounded by the rest of the chronicle owners.
"Aldia-" What? Where is Aldia? I looked towards the rest of the owners and saw Aldia behind who seemed to be their leader.
She took out a small gun and put it to their leader's head. The leader was a girl with long, dark brown hair, she wore pitch-black clothes and looked freakish.
Aldia said, "Let us go or she dies." Their 'leader' said, "No. But we'll gamble with you. If you win, you earn your freedom. If we win, we earn your blood."
Aldia looked at me, urging me to make the decision. After a minute of thinking, I said, "We accept. What are we gambling on?"
A boy from their group spoke up, "Oh, just a simple game of choices." He pulled out 3 guns and a mat. He placed the guns on the mat and gestured for me to come closer. Reluctantly, I went close.
He spoke again, "One of these guns is empty. Two are full of bullets. You need to choose one of the guns and shoot 'Aldia'. If you choose the empty one, you win, but if she dies...so do you. If she doesn't die, then I will choose." He smirked, "Also, usage of chronicles is only allowed when you are hiding the empty gun."
He wrote something in his chronicle. Aldia was at an angle from which she could clearly see the writing in his chronicle.
Aldia slightly raised her left hand, which would mean the one on the left is the empty one.
But...but what if he had meant for this to happen? He could be showing her his chronicle on purpose!
But if it isn't the left...then which one? Right or center? I tried using my brain a bit more.
I know that it isn't the left one. I also know that he is showing his diary on purpose. What else do I know?
I gasped. His diary was a fake one. Or so I thought. Because if he had written the left one, and showed it to Aldia, that means it would have to be the left since it's written in the chronicle. Unless...it's a fake one!
What can I do with that information?
Hmm...
He kept moving around the gun so as to hide the empty one. I kept noticing that he rarely moved the right one. It could be because...
A gun without bullets would be lighter than a gun with bullets. This means he's moving the right one rarely so as to not reveal that it's lighter than the others!
"I choose the one on the right!"
