"i think i have to find me another job now" danielle told kassen as they sat in the doctors office waiting for the doctor to come back with the test he ran on kassen.
"why you say that" he asked now giving her his undivided attention causing her to grow nervous a little.
it was always something about kassen's stare that made her nervous. that's why she liked when he didn't pay attention to her but was still listening.
he had been staring at her a lot lately when she would spark up a conversation or even when she was doing absolutely nothing he'll still stare like he was in a daze.
"because i don't wanna go back to the shop, it's gonna be so much tension between me and king" she sigh bitting her nails. she knew that no job could compare to kings pay unless she sold drugs or worked in a warehouse.
"what happened between yall anyways" he asked confused. he only knew king didn't like him but he didn't know that dani and king got into it when he dropped her off the last time.
"he already didn't want me around you, but soon as he seen the bruise he was furious. we got into a big ass argument because i said i wasn't finna leave you alone. he threatened to tell my dad and i'm not even supposed to be talking to nobody. it's not even that it's about the bruise and my daddy play no games. he migh kick my ass out for going against the grain. " she said and his face softened.
he regret putting his hands on her everyday. he knew it was his fault all this was going on and he felt bad.
"ian mean to cause problems in your house hold or between you and yo brudda. maybe it's best we stop talking to eachother so no shit won't go down ya heard me" he said knowing that wasn't finna happen. he would never let her stop talking to him long as he was breathing but he was just trynna show sympathy and acted like he cared.
he knew if she was to get kicked out he wouldn't think twice about taking her under his wing but he didn't wanna act so nonchalant about the situation she was telling him about.
"if you think you finna stop talking to me because of some damn king or me being kicked out then you wrong so please with that, and besides i can go live with tray. i'm not a little kid anymore they can't rule my life forever".
"i see whea' he coming from though. he basically seen a bruise that a nigga put on his li' sister. i'll tell teelee to stay the fuck away too. " he told her.
