In the Story Description, I mentioned the Big Ten as the ten victorious fighters for humanity during Ragnarok, who have been sealed in Sacred Gears by Yahveh. The category they belong to is Soul Manipulation and, as such, they're not limited to humans only as their potential hosts - as every living being has a soul.

Those are particular Sacred Gears, in a sense similar to the Heavenly Dragons - they are sentient and they can either force their own awakening like Jack did, or wait for a specific trigger. In their dormant state, they enhance their host's physical capabilities at a passive level.
