        The officer walked in and closed the door behind him. He scanned the area before looking back over at Kai, "What's your name kid?"

"It's Kai," he responded almost in a whisper tone. The officer took note of this reaction and thought it was a bit suspicious.

At this point Beomgyu noticed there was someone else in the room and sat up on the edge of his bed, "What's going on?"

"There's the man of the hour," the officer directed his attention to him, "And what might your name be?"

"What's yours?" Beomgyu raised a brow, obviously not in the mood for this.

The officer pulled out his badge, "That'll be Officer Kim to you."

Beomgyu immediately felt embarrassed and looked away, "My name is Beomgyu."

"Nice to meet the two of you," Officer Kim clicked his tongue, "Is it just the two of you residing here?" The two boys nodded their heads. "Then you wouldn't mind if I looked around for a bit, hmm?"

"Look around for what," Beomgyu scowled, "Why are you even here?"

Officer Kim smiled, "Well I'm here because someone wanted to make a big scene at the trial regarding Kang Taehyun." Beomgyu narrowed his eyes at him but didn't really know what to say. "Now if you'll excuse me, I'll begin my search and will get back to the two of you when I'm done."

The officer began to look around their small apartment. He looked under the beds; he looked in the closets; he looked around every corner. Beomgyu beckoned Kai to come closer to him and Kai did as he was told.

"Where's Soobin?" Beomgyu whispered into his ear when Officer Kim had his back towards them.

Kai just shrugged in response. He honestly had no idea where Soobin is hiding and he is terrified. His heart is going badum, badum, badum, and he wouldn't be surprised if Beomgyu could hear it with how hard it's beating. Beomgyu grabbes his hand and gave him a look telling him he needs to calm down. Kai took a few deep breaths and tried his best to maintain his composure.

Soon enough Officer Kim emerged from their bathroom and made his way over to the two boys. "Nothing seems out of place, but I'm still suspicious of the two of you," Officer Kim admitted, "Especially you."

Beomgyu huffed, "I didn't do anything wrong."

"I'll be the judge of that," Officer Kim took out his notepad and a pen, "What is your relationship with Kang Taehyun? It's obvious you have one."

"Sort of," Beomgyu answered, "He was my best friend growing up in elementary school."

"Interesting, interesting," Officer Kim tilted his head, "So you don't consider him your best friend anymore?"

"No," Beomgyu shook his head, "I moved away when we were kids and lost contact with him."

"Then why are you here?"

"College."

"Have you been in contact with Kang Taehyun since you've moved back here?"

"No," Beomgyu lied and Kai looked at him confused, "I saw his name on the news and that's how I knew about the trial."

Officer Kim chuckled, "Okay then. Who else do you know that is in the business that he is in?"

Beomgyu snapped his gaze at him, "Nobody."

"With all due respect," Officer Kim cleared his throat, "I don't believe you." Beomgyu clenched his fists and Officer Kim turned his attention to Kai, "How about you kid? You have a relationship with Taehyun or anyone associated with him?"
