{Chapter 40. Back on the grind}

Colbys pov

    It was a few days later and me and Sam were finally filming again. I quickly got dressed said by to the girls and the twins then left out the door. I went out the front gate and got in the car Sam was in and we were off. "So Sam we're going to the abandoned mental hospital right?" I said. "Yeah we are, we're gonna get some good footage" Sam said as I nodded and looked out the window as he drove. After 2 hours of driving we finally pulled up to the mental hospital. "We finally made it" I said "we did so let's film the intro" Sam said.

    We filmed the intro then went into the building after scoping it out. "Okay where should we go first?" Sam said "I wanna go to the basement where it's rumored that's where they did brain tests on their patients" I said. "Okay well let's do that last tho" Sam said as I nodded and we walked around the first floor for a good 20 minutes. Or so before we heard a huge bang come from the room across. We hid behind a stretcher for about 5 minutes. Then we decided to go check out the noise. So we stood turned the camera back on and walked to the room the noise came from.

    Right as we entered the room we saw everything was torn up which was strange since everything else wasn't the other stuff just looked super old and dusty. Basically untouched if you will. We looked around the room filming it for about 3 minutes before cops were behind us and telling us to stop where we are and put our hands up. Me and Sam have never been in this situation before so we did exactly what we were told. We set our stuff down along with the camera and after we put our hands up and stepped away from our stuff.

    We were only barley a foot away from our stuff so we could easily grab it. I could tell Sam wanted to just listen to them and follow the cops lead but I had other plans. I quickly grabbed our stuff and Sams hand before I ran out the mental hospital as fast as I could. They cops were chasing us but they were at least 15 feet away. I quickly started the car and took off turning on random streets so they couldn't follow us back home. Luckily Sams using a rental car so it won't matter if the get the license plate number.

    We ditched the car at a park and ran back to my house and we locked the door and closed all the curtains and windows. "What are you guys doing back so early?" Y/n said coming out of the twins room holding both Alex and Luna. "Uh we ran from the cops.." I said as I walked over to her as Sam got some water from the fridge. "You what!?" Y/n said setting the twins down in their play pin. "We ran from the cops, I'm sorry I was scared. I was think of you and the kids when I did it" I said she mumbled a few words before I continued "I just didn't wanna be stuck in jail babe, I needed to come back home to you and the kids" i said.

    "Okay I believe you now go spend some time with the kids" Y/n said as I nodded and walked over to the twins picking them up. "So where's Vee?" I asked "oh she's with Devyn and Kat, they wanted to take her out shopping" Y/n said "sounds fun" I said as I sat on the floor and played with the twins.
