M.J.'s POV

‘Where is she?’ my wolf spoke, we could smell and feel our beautiful mate close but we couldn’t see her, I was turning around like a mad man it the middle of the store so I could find her but I still wasn’t able to see her from all the people in front of me making a crowd, I mind linked one of my pack members I saw in the crowd asking him about the people gathered together, he said that a she wolf he never saw before was doing a happy dance in the aisle and that it was to die for. I cut him off when I smelled that my mate was coming closer and then I saw her, my perfect cup of sugar, as sweet and innocent as ever.

A smile broke out on her perfect face, she was with an woman, she looked like an older version of my mate, when I saw a birthmark on her arm I recognized her, before I knew it I was hugging her, leaving her breathless in my embrace, my little mate was watching us with a puzzled look on her face though her sunglasses covered it up. “Aunty Athena as gorgeous as ever, how lucky am I to run it to you like this.” “Oh, shut it M.J. like I don’t know you”, she laughed. Then she continued “this is my daughter Maya, we were about to finish up here and hit the pack house so she would meet you, but this way is better for you to meet if you ask me, I was never one to like that formal meeting type of thing…” she was cut off by me, don’t get me wrong I love her and I have missed her like crazy and I know it’s rude to stop her midsentence but I simply had to, so I could get my attention back to my sweet mate, she was staring at me like she will kill me, I knew she wasn’t mad, she just wanted to stop me from I was going to do next. “I had a pleasure to meet your daughter earlier today.” Aunt Athena just stared at me until she connected the dots. While she was staring between Maya and me, Maya, my love, face palmed and shook her head slightly causing me to laugh.

Maya’s POV

Here it comes, my end. He jogged up to us, opening his arms for a hug, he wouldn’t... Would he? no, not like this. All to my surprise he stopped in front of my mom and hugged her leaving me staring at them in all my horror and confusion. “Aunty Athena as gorgeous as ever, how lucky am I to run it to you like this.” Aunty? Seriously hahahahahaha I tried really hard not to let my laugh on the outside, I managed to hide my amusement behind my shock as my mom spoke up. “Oh, shut it M.J. like I don’t know you”, she said making it even harder for me not to laugh. She laughed lightly and then continued; “this is my daughter Maya, we were about to finish up here and hit the pack house so she would meet you, but this way is better for you to meet if you ask me, I was never…” I wasn’t listening to her anymore I was just staring at M.J. trying to stop him, because from the moment she said my name he had a smirk on his lips and I knew he is about to tell her. He looked at me, smiled widely and cut her off midsentence “I had a pleasure to meet your daughter earlier today.” I couldn’t help myself so I face palmed and shook my head in embarrassment. I can’t believe he is so childish, he shouldn’t have mentioned it.

I took a glimpse in my mother’s direction regretting it that second, she was looking between the two of us, I knew she knew. A smile rolled on her lips and she screamed once more, if she keeps this up I will need to buy earplugs, my dumb mate was laughing, she was once again doing her happy dance, this time the crowd even clapped to encourage her. My social life was already ruined and I haven’t even started school yet, oh goody…

M.J.’s POV

“I’m sorry” I mouthed, but she just turned towards her mom, my little cutie, I did kind of feel bad that she didn’t come up to me, but I get it that it was awkward for her, once again she looked up at me and aunt Athena spoke to Maya “you kids go buy what M.J. has to, I will finish up our shopping and we will meet up in the pack house, go now, shoo.”

I looked at Maya and she smiled at me coming closer and removing sunglasses, her huge golden eyes were staring at me. Once I put my arm around her shoulder, her eyes shifted to their normal color and she cuddled up to my right side putting her small left hand on my chest as I pushed my trolley towards the end of the aisle. I can’t wait to show her off. My perfect tiny mate.
