Jeremy's POV

I was cleaning up the mess when Rosie came in crying. It wasn't normal for her to cry, at least not in public. She was shy and wrapped up in her cocoon, though, she was the best fighter this pack had ever known. Seeing her cry was just weird. Even back then when she wasn't a warrior yet.

She had just turned 16 so she was to find her Mate that day. "Alpha" she cried out. I rushed over to her, then I noticed blood streaming from her side. I screamed for help. Taking my shirt off I ripped it into two laces and wrapped her stomach up. Maria and Aqua ran in and yelled out to Tommy to get the car ready. They didn't allow him in the house.

Later on I found out it was because he was covered in mud. Rosie's wound was deep, but with her healing she was up and running in no time. We didn't allow her out of the hospital for a week anyway.

That night she fell asleep in my arms before we even got to the pack doctor. She was very weak, the next day, early in the morning we went to see her. She told us that she found her mate. But he rejected her for another girl. She didn't want to tell us who it was, she knew that Maria would personally rip his throat out.

Because of her experience she didn't want anyone to go through loosing their mate and Aqua being there would probably make her even more aggressive. We left Rosie to her thoughts. She was getting better, but having her mate near her would help her heal faster. But she wanted him safe and alive. The only thing important to her was that he was happy, even if not with her.

We found out who her mate was, eventually, but she never told us how she got hurt.

Rosie's POV

I was walking around the pack grounds doing nothing, I was on my four brown-orange paws and I let my wolf do what she wanted. Little did I know she had sensed out mate's presence. But I got worried when I felt her not being happy about it. Scared even. We were running north and soon I was able to smell him. He had an amazing scent of fresh lavender. I came closer but soon I smelled another scent. I looked at him and her. In his lap. Happy, or fake happy, who would have known. That red whore was kissing my man.

I wasn't a warrior back then, I was a one-year-old wolf and the first time I fazed was that morning. I came up to them. Not shifting. He stiffened and turned to me. "Rose?" 'mate' my wolf replied through the bond. "No, not mate. Just me. You shall never speak of this to anyone, understood? Leave." he said sounding sad. Breaking my heart. 'Mate' she said once more. Then his red whore excuse of a girlfriend stood up. Pulling a pocket knife from her bra. "You will leave us. At once. Come on, reject her already, what are you waiting for? We wanted for her to show up so you can cut off the loose ends. We haven't got all day" "no, I can't she is my mate. I thought I could but I can't." "Reject her or I'll kill her." 'Don't please, without you we are as good as dead.' me and my wolf begged. "I want you to have a nice life my love. She will haunt you if I don't step down. Please understand my beautiful, I don't want to do this. One day we will be together." I sobbed making him flinch. "No, you won't, I am not letting you go. Reject her now!" Ignis screamed at him. "No", he stepped in front of me. But she beat him to it and she stroke my stomach with the small knife. Pushing not only the blade but the whole object into me.

She took it out, screaming at him "reject her or the next strike is to her head" 'I love you Rose my dear. I always will. Some day we will be together. Go to the alpha so he can help you heal. Good bye, my only love.' he said through the bond. Unfortunately those weren't his last words to me that day.
