Chapter 3

He seemed surprised by this "How could we not have known about him?" He shrugs "I don't know either, but I guess we have a new suspect" he waves for a cab and we enter

We stay silent about the investigation to make sure the taxi driver doesn't hear anything confidential "Did you get groceries?" He asked me which I shakes my head "We can't go to the office anyway, let's go get groceries" I say to him before telling the taxi driver to go to a grocery store

"What will we get?" He shrugs before both of us go in "Wait I'll make a list for you to get" he nods before he gets us shopping carts "Here, those are meats, spices and fruits. I'll get other supplies" he goes off to the meat isle, whilst I went to the juice isle

After 10 minutes, I'm almost done when I bumped to a person because I was looking at my phone. I looks up to apologize before I see Iguro with another woman, or at least I think is Iguro, he always wears a mask so I don't even know. I immediately try to exit so nothing awkward happens

"What the fuck" I say to myself before I see Giyu and head over "Why are you sweating?" He chuckles "Nothing, I just saw you and ran" I smile "We should be done, now" I say while inspecting his cart "Let's go" I gesture for us to go to the self-checkout

We were about to exit when I get nudged on the shoulder. I look back and see Iguro, "Look, I can explain" I turn and walk away before I feel a nudge again "Look, you can explain it to Mitsuri after I tell her" I chuckle

"You know that would be complicated" I walk away again before getting pulled, he didn't nudge me, but pulled and put both his hands on my shoulders "Just let me explain" I was about to say something before Giyu stepped in and removed Iguro's grasp on me "Leave" Giyu says before making both of us walk away

"I got that handled, by the way" he looks at me "I know, just wanted to help" I rolled my eyes "I'm not a damsel, okay?" He put his hands up in defeat and chuckled lightly

"Will you tell her about whatever happened" he said, referring to what happened 20 minutes ago "No, I'll just tell Mitsuri to talk with him. If Iguro didn't tell her the truth, I will" he nods before putting down the bags and helping me fix the grocery

"Thanks for helping" he nodded before getting food from the freezer, making me confused. He looked at me "I'll cook" I gasp in surprise, not expecting that "You know how to cook?" He nods making me a little impressed "There's a saying, men who can cook, can also get the girls" I laughs while he looks at me confused "It's a saying, it doesn't have to make sense" I explained before turning on the tv

"Food's ready" was all I heard before standing up and looking at the food, and in fairness, it looked really good. I was excited to eat "This looks really good" I laughed while he nodded "I had to cook for me when I was a kid because my mom was not yet at home when it was dinner time" he explained but I became distracted by how good the food was "This is so good" I moaned in satisfaction "Thank you" he scratched the back of his neck

We finished the food in no time. "You're food is also really good" he tried to assure me, which I nodded, but I think his cooking is better than mine

It was the day, I had to interrogate Douma. I had to be professional, which I hated because I just wanted to rip his face into pieces. Even if I tried, Giyu would stop me anyway

I went into the room and looked at Douma. He looked surprised, but then he smiled in satisfaction "Fancy meeting you here, Shinobu" I nodded "Why aren't you getting mad? Is that really you?" He had a fake disappointed voice, before he started laughing like a maniac

"If you keep behaving like this, you will be arrested" Giyu said, I honestly didn't notice he was here. Douma out his hands up in defeat and started being quiet, his smile was still annoying but I started questioning

"What is your relationship with the victim?" He shrugged "I don't know her" he said before laughing again "I'm kidding! I know her" Giyu coughed "If you lie in here again, we will take you to court" he threatened, while Douma nodded

"Is it true that you stalked her?" He shook his head "When i saw her in public, I approached her, and I maybe annoyed her for a bit, but no stalking, I swear" he put one of his hand up to assure us "Is it true that you pinned her in her school campus" he nodded "Yes, but that was only because she said she hated me and I was ugly" he put on a fake frown

"Did you kill her" he shook his head "I might be crazy and a horrible person, but I am no killer, ma'am" I nodded and exited the room

"Why did you just exit?" I looked at him "You could tell him he's free to go now, or thank you for your time. I'm not gonna say that to him" he nodded

I slammed a file at my desk, startling Giyu "Those fuckers" Giyu put up an eyebrow "They took our case" I chuckled "Who?" He asked me "The prosecution"
