At the pub

Iain waited for Ruby to get changed from her uniform into her own clothes then they walked to the hope and anchor pub as Iain smiled and said" so what are you drinking" as Ruby smiled and said"I'll start with white wine then move to a pint of beer."

Iain nodded and ordered the drinks as Ruby's phone pinged. Ruby unlocked her phone and smiled as her sister Jennifer and her husband Max just had a healthy baby girl called April as she texted back saying" Congrats sis."

Iain smiled and said" you look happy" as Ruby said" my sister Jennifer and her husband Max just had a healthy baby girl called April she does look like her mum." Iain looked at the picture and smiled saying" she does have her mum's hair and her dad's nose."

Iain smiled and said" Ruby hear me out I'm not very good at relationships and to be honest I love you as you bring me sunshine so I'm asking you to be my girlfriend." Ruby smiled and said" Iain I would love to be your girlfriend."

Iain smiled and held Ruby's hand as he gazed into her eyes whilst saying" I've got a 1 bedroom flat and the bed is a double Ruby smiled and said" A double bed sounds amazing" as later that night Ruby arrived at Iain's flat with her possessions such as clothes and other things.

Iain smirked and said" hey gorgeous" as he pulled Ruby into the hall and closed the door locking the door. Ruby smirked and said" you cooked dinner" as Iain smiled and said" anything for you princess."

After Iain and Ruby had dinner they settled down on the sofa and watched a romantic movie as they cuddled and ate popcorn as Iain said" hopefully we'll get our happy ever after." Ruby said" what do you mean" as Iain said" I've been invited to weddings a lot but I would love to get married and have a family also have a big house with a big garden whilst seeing our children running round and the children could have a dog as a pet."

Ruby smiled and said" I would love that too" as Ruby fell asleep on Iain's chest as Iain said" I promise you that I'll protect you and look after you including our future children."
