Derek POV
I feel horrible. I regret everything that happened in DC. And I put Meredith through so much pain. Oh and on top of that she's pregnant, I shouldn't of let that woman kiss me. I'm so thankful Meredith forgave me, I have no clue what I would do without her.

Meredith POV
I woke up this morning feeling well rested. I grabbed my phone and was getting ready to text Derek when a wave of nausea hit me. I ran to the bathroom and shut the door to deal with my morning sickness. This was one of the worst parts about being pregnant. When I was pregnant with Bailey my morning sickness was easier to deal with because I wasn't so stressed with work and I had Derek right by my side the whole time. After I got done emptying the contents of my stomach I sat on the cool bathroom floor trying to catch my breath when Callie knocked on the bathroom door. "Come in" I stated. Callie opened the door and gave me a smile. "Hey Mer. Are you ok?" She asked me. "I mean I just got done emptying my stomach but yeah I'm perfect" I replied sarcastically. She gave a fake smile and said she was sorry. "It's ok, I'm just moody" I sighed. "I'm going home after I know I can get up without puking again" I said trying to stand up. "Ok but if you need to get away or need a place to stay, my place is always open" She gestured. "Thank you" I say pulling her in for a rare hug. She has been so welcoming and nice to me lately. "Anytime" She smiled. With that I went to the room I was in and packed all my belongings and cleaned up a bit then left. Time to go home, where I miss so much. I get in the car and head home. When I arrive home I notice another car in the driveway that looks familiar. I walk in the house and Derek mouths sorry to me. Next thing I know Carolyn Shepherd is greeting me and trying to give me a hug. Awesome. "Meredith I hope you don't mind that I decided to come early I wanted to surprise you guys" Carolyn laughed. "No I don't mind at all" I replied smiling. But I did mind, my husband and I just got done fighting and I just wanted to spend time with him and my kids. "How was your trip?" She asked. "My trip?" I questioned "yeah why else would you have a suitcase with you" She wondered. Apparently Derek hadn't told her anything. "Oh no I was just staying at a friends for a couple of nights" I smiled. I took my shoes off and then excused my self to the bedroom to put my clothes away. Derek followed me. "Meredith I'm so sorry I didn't know she was coming this early she said next week" He apologized. "It's okay" I sighed. "If you want I'll ask her to take the kids out or something so we can have some alone time" he offered "can you? I just wanted to relax today with you" I stated. "Yes I'll go ask her to take the kids to the park or something for a bit. I'll be right back" he said kissing my head and then leaving to go talk to his mom. I eventually heard the front door close and Derek came back. "Shes taking them to the park and then to get Ice cream " he smiled. "Thank you" I smiled back. Derek then got in bed next to me and started to spoon me. I was perfectly fine with that because I just wanted to lay in his arms lately. Just cuddle with him and fall asleep like that. Soon Derek flipped laying on his back so I flipped around and laid my head on his chest and put my hand in his. I missed him so much. "I missed you so much" I whispered tearing up. "I missed you too" he replied kissing my head. "Are you ok?" He asked. "Yeah I'm just- yeah" I replied wiping my eyes. His hand made its way to my stomach where our baby is. "How has your morning sickness been?" He asked, his hand still on my stomach. "Horrible. Worse then when I was pregnant with Bailey" I sighed "I'm sorry" he replied kissing me again. We ended up falling asleep together only to wake up two hours later. "How did you sleep" Derek asked "good" I smiled and kissed him. "Should we go see what your moms up to?" I ask. "Sure" He said getting up. We both made our way to the living room and got greeted by Carolyn. "You guys are finally awake" she smiled. "Sorry mom we were tired" Derek replied as I nodded "it's ok I understand. Bailey, Zola and I had so much fun at the park" Carolyn stated. Zola agreed. "That's awesome" Derek chimed as he went to grab Bailey.

Narrators POV
"Someone's tired" Derek said handing a fussy Bailey over to Meredith. Soon enough Meredith was able to get Bailey to fall asleep in her arms. It was near his nap time anyways. "I'm going to put him in his crib I'll be back" Meredith said leaving the room. Meanwhile Derek and his mom stayed in the living room talking. "How did you know we were sleeping" Derek asked curiously. "I knocked on your bedroom door but there was no answer so I peeked in. You guys look so cute cuddling together" Carolyn smiled. "Yeah. I missed that" Derek grinned. "What do you mean you guys sleep in the same bed every night don't you?" Carolyn wondered "uh yeah usually" Derek stammered trying to avoid that topic. "What are you not telling me" Carolyn asked knowing her son. "Let's go for a walk shall we?" Derek suggested, Carolyn nodded and Derek told Meredith that they were going to go on a walk through the woods. "So...." Carolyn nudged "so, I did something horrible that I regret" Derek said shyly "like what?" She asked "I let someone kiss me" His breath hitched. "Derek Christopher Shepherd" Carolyn said obviously disappointed. "Mom" He replied looking at the ground "why would you do that to her? Was she not enough for you? Derek you can't do that to someone" She snapped making sure he knows he's in the wrong. "I know okay. I don't know why I did it I was sleep deprived and I was picturing her but once we kissed I knew it wasn't her I didn't feel any connection like I do when Meredith and I kiss. I pulled away as soon as I realized and then I left to get home to Meredith. I told her what happened. Thank god she forgave me I don't know what I would've done" He said tearing up. "You're lucky she forgave you. Cherish your time with her. I know how she makes you feel you guys are perfect for each other. Way better than Addison was for you" She said going in for a hug with her son. "I know" Derek sighed hugging his mom back. "We should get back. Meredith is probably starting dinner" Derek said and they headed back to the house. When they got there they walked in and Meredith was no where to be found. "Hmm that's weird" Derek said not sure where his wife was. He headed to their bedroom and saw her sound asleep. She must be exhausted he thought. He went over and kissed her on the forehead and left the room again remembering how grateful he is that they can get through such tough obstacles together
