Fast forward 2 days:
Narrator POV
It was the day before Baileys 3rd birthday. Dereks sisters were flying in today and Meredith wasn't exactly happy. Her morning sickness has started turning into night sickness which was better in her opinion, but she still doesn't necessarily like Dereks sisters they are all so judgmental towards her. Especially Nancy. She was the worst to her calling her a 'slutty intern' and just couldn't get over the fact that Derek and Addison are no longer together. Meredith was pulled out of her thoughts when Derek kissed her. "Hat are you thinking about?" He asked rubbing her arm "oh nothing" she replied flipping over so she could see his face. "It's about Nancy and my sisters isn't it" he smiled "what how did you know?" She giggled "wild guess" he replied putting his hand on her stomach "how are you feeling?" He asked. "Just a stomach ache but lately my morning sickness has turned into night sickness" she chuckled. "Hopefully Nancy can't tell that I'm pregnant" Meredith sighed. "Mer how would she know? The only way you're showing is your boobs are bigger and something tells me she hasn't examined the size of your breasts like I have" he laughed "but she's an obgyn she can might be able to know" she stated. "Don't worry Mer" he said kissing her. "I need a shower" she sighed getting up "I do too" he grinned, face lighting up with joy. "Fine but no sex when your mother is in the house" she reminded heading towards the bathroom and stripping her clothes, him doing the same. She turned on the water making sure it was how she liked it and got in, Derek not far behind her. When they got in Derek turned her around and held her in his arms hands immediately going to her stomach where their baby is located. Meredith needed Derek. She hasn't had him in so long. But his mother was in the house and that probably would make her look good. She quickly turned around grabbing Derek and kissing him. His hands started to rome all the curves on her body. "Mer don't do this to me" he groaned not wanting to be teased. "Do what?" She said kissing all around his neck. "Don't tease me. I want to have sex Meredith" he replied hands going to her breasts. She quickly took his hands away. "We can't while your mother is here, but we can have an old fashion high school make out session" she grinned. Derek pushed her back towards the shower wall, making sure to be careful not to hurt her. Kissing her lips a million times and then going to her neck, biting leaving bruises that will definitely show later but neither of them cared. "I love you" she breathed "not as much as I love you" he said in between kisses. They made out for a little longer until it was time to wash up and get out. They both got out and dried off putting their outfits for the day on. Meredith wore some skinny jeans that she would soon outgrow and a tighter black shirt. She dried her hair and curled it a bit making sure she looked nice when the sisters arrived. "Wow you look amazing" Derek said coming in the room wearing some jeans and a polo with his hair swooped back like always. "So do you" she said turning around and kissing him. "Do you think this shirt is too tight. I know I'm not showing but I don't want them to see something we don't especially today" she asked turning to the sides so Derek could get a look. "No Mer calm down they won't notice. Plus is it the worse if they did I mean they are going to know at some point" he asked "yes because I don't want to be called a 'slutty intern' or anything. I just wish they liked me" she sighed. "If anyone calls you a slutty intern I'll take care of it don't worry" he said kissing her and pulling her in for a quick hug. After that they made their way to the living room to eat some breakfast Carolyn made and then they got the kids ready. After the kids were ready there was a knock on the door and all the Shepherd sisters came flooding in quickly making their way to hug Derek. "Derek it's been so long" Nancy said. "I know" Derek replied. Meredith just stood back while the kids all got hugs from their aunts. Derek turned around and watched her just stand back looking nervous so he went to stand by her side. He put his hand on her stomach and asked how she felt. All she did was nod. And then Amelia walked over. "Meredith it's nice to see you again" Amelia said hugging the woman "it's nice to see you too" Meredith smiled. Amelia was the only Shepherd sister who treated her right. "Wow you look amazing" she acknowledged making Meredith smile. "So I was thinking we could all go out to dinner tonight" Derek said making sure the whole room heard. "That sounds fun" Kathleen answered earning nods from all the other Shepherd sisters. Until dinner came they decided to all go sit on the deck because the view was amazing. All the girls talked about their family's and memories of when they were kids, getting in trouble and causing madness. Meredith just sat back and listened, she didn't have any good memories as a child to share and even if she did she wouldn't. "Mer what's on your neck" Lizzie asked before Meredith could say anything Nancy chimed in "it's a hickey. The slutty intern has a hickey". Meredith quickly got up and left the deck. Not caring if she looked childish. "Nancy you have to stop calling her that" Carolyn snapped "why it's true" Nancy remarked. "It's not true. She is not slutty, she is my wife. She was never a slut in the first place that was Addison or even me but Meredith is no slut. She is the greatest mother, the most caring person, and my beautiful wife who deserves so much better from you guys. She did nothing wrong you are just mad because you liked Addison, well too bad because Addison and I will never be back together and if you can't face the truth leave" Derek said angrily. Nancy didn't respond with anything but a nod. Derek got up and went to comfort his wife. He walked into the room and saw Meredith sitting in the bed in tears. "Mer I'm sorry" He said sitting next to her and pulling her into a hug "it's ok these hormones are making me overreact" She sniffled wiping her tears. "No they aren't. They shouldn't talk about you like that they need to get over the fact that you were never a slut. It was Addison. You were just in the wrong situation at the wrong time and I'm sorry about that" he said feeling bad "it's ok. I love you" she said kissing him. "I love you too" he kissed her back. Derek went back out and talked with the family while Meredith played with the kids in the living room for a while until it turned 7 and they left to go to dinner. The kids wanted to drive with their grandma so the only ones in Dereks car were him and Meredith. "Gosh you look so hot" Derek smiled at his wife. "So do you" She replied quickly kissing him and holding his hand. Around 7:25 they all pulled up to this Italian restaurant they were going to be eating at. They went inside and got their reservation and sat down at the table. Derek was next to Meredith, Bailey was next to her, and Zola was sitting in between Bailey and Carolyn. They all talked more about work and upcoming events and then ordered. Bailey was starting to get hungry and fussy so Meredith tried to distract him to get him to calm down, which she was able to do easily. "Meredith you're really good with the kids" Kathleen said nicely. "Thank you" Meredith smiled in return. "So I am thinking about making a life changing decision" Carolyn sighed causing the whole table to go quiet "like what?" Nancy asked "I have been here in Seattle for about a week and I love it down here. I love being with Meredith and Derek and their Kids and I need a change in scenery. I'm thinking about moving down here" Carolyn stated. The table stayed silent. But the Shepherd sisters were obviously upset. "So?" Carolyn asked waited on someone's input. "Mom you're going to leave New York to be with Derek down here who doesn't make an attempt to see you during the year and his wife that he shouldn't of even married?" Nancy snapped. "Nancy" Amelia nudged trying to make her sister stop. "No really it's not fair that the ones who actually spend time with you and are good for the family are the ones you're leaving behind" Nancy snapped again. "Nancy shut up. What did we talk about earlier? Meredith is my wife, who I definitely should've married, she is good for the family you just don't see it. You don't give her a chance. And it's not easy to see mom all the time when I have 2 kids, a extremely important job and a wife here in Seattle and sisters who judge my wife all the time in New York. You guys don't understand how much pain you cause Meredith and I by being jerks to her." Derek finally snapped having enough of his sister. "Nancy I agree you are being selfish and only care about Addison and yourself. Well that's to bad because I'm moving here to Seattle. I love being around a part of the family that doesn't cause drama every time we are in the same room together" Carolyn said agreeing with Derek. Meredith took the kids and went out to the car after Carolyn stopped talking. She couldn't take it anymore. Derek came out after they all calmed down and told her to come back inside and that the food will be there soon. She agreed and went back in and sat down with the kids. The food arrived shortly after and the family ate in silence. Derek had his hand on Merediths thigh the whole time making sure she felt comfortable after getting bashed by his sisters. After they ate Derek paid for some reason and then they all went in the same cars that they went in but Amelia went with Derek and Meredith instead of the other Shepherds. "Mer I'm so sorry she had no right to talk about you like that back there" Derek sighed. "It's not your fault" she replied looking out the window. "Don't worry what Nancy thinks Mer. She's just jealous that you have a better life" Amelia assured "thanks" she smiled. They were about 5 minutes from home when Meredith started to feel sick. Derek could tell just by looking at her that she wasn't feeling well. "What's wrong?" He asked rubbing his hand on her thigh. "I feel sick" she sighed closing her eyes. "We're almost home will you be ok until then?" He asked rubbing her leg "I should be" she replied sternly "You okay Meredith what hurts?" Amelia asked trying to help "I'm fine just not feeling the best right now" She said smiling a bit. They finally arrived at home and Meredith ran into the house into the master bathroom and just sat on the floor. Hoping if she need to throw up that the sisters wouldn't hear her. Derek asked Carolyn to help get the kids get situated for bed while he went to make sure Meredith was ok. When he went into the bathroom he saw her sitting on the floor leaning over the toilet. Derek knew what was about to happen so he got down next to her to help her. Meanwhile Carolyn was able to get the kids to sleep and went back in the living room with her daughters. "Where's Meredith and Derek?" Lizzie asked "Mer wasn't feeling good so they're in their bathroom" Amelia informed. "Yeah they've had a lot going on" Carolyn sighed "And Nancy you need to be nicer to them. They didn't do anything to you but you're constantly being rude to Meredith. She doesn't need that she's been through a lot. Just leave her alone or leave and I know Derek would agree with me" Carolyn added. Nancy shot her a look and left the room. Merediths night sickness started to calm down so she got changed, brushed her teeth and laid down on their bed. Derek came and curled right next to her and started to spoon her. "I can't believe he'll be 3 tomorrow" She said as she started to tear up. "I know, he's getting so big. But that's okay because we will have another little one soon who will be running around" he smiled moving his hand to her stomach. "Yeah" she sniffled. She ended up falling asleep listening to Derek talk to her baby bump. After she fell asleep Derek went to the living room to be with his mom and sisters for a little bit before the night ends. But if Nancy was there he knew he would cause a scene. Luckily Nancy decided to head to bed before he went out there.
