Royalty ~ Diavolo

So you wanna be royalty? Well don't.

Quit that dream it's not worth it. Being Royalty sucks. You have to be married by the time your 16 in the human world. But in the Devildom and Celestial realm you have till your 16000 I know that seems like a lot but it's really not.

I look up to see some of the angels running around laughing

I smile

What I would give to live that again... To be a kid with no responsibilities. No banquets to plan... No marriage... No suitors.... No worry's.

I sigh looking down to my book.

Oh what I would give to be a brave warrior instead of The future ruler of the celestial realm... Well... Second in command... But still it's really stressful. But that's just what I was born into. Why I have to be married to be a second in command makes no sense to me but it's the rules.

The whole celestial realm is confusing, they call it royalty when your truly just second in command. Yeah it's a honour to be second in command of all of the celestial realm but it really just seems stressful. I guess I can't say anything though... The second in command, Diavolo, of the underworld is not that much older then me and he once he marrys will be the ruler of the Devildom, though that's only where the demons live it's still alot of work.

I sigh looking around

"Y/N!" I hear a young angel say

I turn around

"Hello there" I say putting on my best smile

"U-um they've requested t-thats you report to the castle" the young angel says blushing

"Oh alright thank you I'll head there right now" I say ruffling the boys hair as I walk past him towards the castle

I put my hands into my pockets and I walk.

I wonder what Michael needs this time

I eventually arrive at the castle and walk into the meeting hall.

I walk in to see food across the fancy table

"Hello y/n I'm sure your wondering as to why I have asked you to come join me"Michael says

"Yes an explanation would be nice" I say smiling softly

"Well as you know the Devildom has an exchange student program, which we have sent Luke and Simeon to attend" Michael says very professionally

I nod

Man it's been months since I've seen Simeon, he's one of my best friends, honestly I debated asking him to marry me since I can't seem to find anyone else who cares for me at all. But he was definitely the best candidate for the exchange program especially since we were sending Luke in hopes he will have a good chance to learn there's more than just angels in this world.

"Well Diavolo has asked that we send another Angel down for a week to teach a class to the other Demons and the humans so they may learn more than just about the Devildom" Michael says calmly

"So you wish for me to find the best candidate to teach a class?" I say raising an eyebrow

"Because if so I have a few Ideas of people who would make great teachers" I start to pull out my note book with names left over from chosing the exchange students

"No there's no need for that y/n" he says shaking his head smiling softly

"What do you mean sir?" I say tilting my head

"I want you to go"

"Me? But sir I'd hardly qualify as an exchange student let alone someone who should go and teach"

"Y/n as the future second in command this will be good for you, you've made plenty of trips down to the Devildom and will go a million more." He says chuckling slightly

I guess he's right but it's still horrifying each time I go. I know I'm not as powerful as many of the demons yet so I know I might could stun them but I would still have a hard time escaping.

"Are you sure about this?"

"Yes"

I sigh "alright I'll do it"

~le time skip~

I arrive in the devildom two days later

I made sure to only bring things that are necessary to me

Clothes, class notes, lesson plans, hygiene stuff, ect

I watch out the limo window as it zooms past streets full of demons, succubus, ect

Eventually we arrive at a large building, it doesn't exactly look castle like but it does at the same time

I must say it is quite beautiful

"Pardon are you l/n?" I see a demon with tealish hair behind me
"Y-yes that would be me" I say

Shit my first incounter with a demon and I'm already stuttering

"Wonderful I am Barbatos, may I help you with your bags" he says giving a slight bow

"Oh uh.. yes please thank you" I say doing my best to give a soft smile

He grabs a few bags and I grab the rest and we start our walk towards the large building

I feel like I should start conversation but I honestly don't know if I'm mentally prepared... I guess it can be him or the devildom king

"So uh Barbatos, what is the king like"

"He's quite nice as long as you don't upset him or people he cares for but I don't imagine you will" Barbatos says with a smile looking back to me.

"Okay, i-ill make sure to remember that"

A few guards open the door to the large building and we walk in. A few maids take my bags to somewhere. Then I hear footsteps

"Why Hello! You must be l/n"
"O-oh uh yes sir"
"no need for sir we will be working together, please call me Diavolo"
"A-alright.. um I guess you can call me y/n then"

The room went silent for a few seconds

"Y/n... That's a beautiful name"

"O-oh uh thank you" I say blushing softly

"Now let's talk about your class! Please follow me" he says
