Viktor, Sage, Eros
Viktor and Eros began talking, and they mentioned a name Sage hadn't heard. She looked between her two sires and noticed that Eros was a bit disturbed by the name Viktor brought up.
Eros tried to end the conversation, but Sage wanted to know more. She finally spoke up, looking between the two. "Who is Evan?" She asked.
"Viktor's cousin," Eros replied bluntly. "He's older than both of us, powerful, and he hates us Camphbells."
"He's only 200 years old," Viktor added, chuckling darkly.
He turned to Sage. "I'm terribly sorry I'm late, I went to Rose's grave. But I'm here now."
For some reason, Sage felt angry about that. No, what was it... jealousy? She knew she shouldn't have, but she was dead, and Sage was here. And she needed someone to comfort her. To be there for her.
Eros tsked him. "We both went to her grave. Yet, you are the only one who didn't come here."
Eros's comment did not make her feel any better. Both of them had been at the grave, and Eros was the only one who came back. Of course, Eros wasn't Rose's brother, but still. It kinda hurt.
Eros changed the topic. "Sage and I are going hunting, and that's final." Eros wasn't giving room for Viktor to argue.
She looked to Eros as he told Viktor finally that they were going to hunt. She smiled at the idea. "Hunting?!" She exclaimed excitedly, a smile on her face. Her fangs were already starting to give her mouth aches as the thought of tearing into someone and filling her hungry stomach with blood filled her mind.
Viktor glared at Eros, crossing his arms. "I'm going too," he said with finality. He wasn't going to risk letting a bunch of humans die. He paused a moment and looked at Sage again before looking down. He was mad at himself.
A pang of guilt shot through her. Sage knew Viktor felt guilty for not being here. Yet at the same time she was hurt too. She didn't know how to feel, whether selfish or selfless right now.
"As you wish, Cassidy," Eros told him. He turned to Sage. "We're going to hunt animals for now."
They walked further into the woods. Eros turned to Viktor. "By the way, you wouldn't happen to know anyone with AB- blood here, would you?"
Viktor lied, "No, sorry."
Sage realized she was a bit disappointed when Eros mentioned animals instead of humans. 'Of course, why would they have me hunt down humans in a schoolyard?' Sage walked next to Eros, feeling disappointed but staying silent about it.
Eros read her expression and leaned next to her ear. "We will hunt humans after," he informed her quietly. He straightened up. She was a fledgling, and would need to feed from humans anyway. However, with Viktor here, he knew he should play nice until he would need her for other purposes.
At the mention of hunting humans, Sage looked at Eros and smiled, nodding. She looked ahead, a bit more pep in her step.
She felt another presence next to her and found Viktor had chosen to walk opposite of Eros on her other side. "How are you feeling," he asked her.
Sage shrugged. "Honestly, it was a bit overwhelming at first, but I feel great. It's... it's just great."
There was a noise. it sounded so close, but when Sage looked around, she realized the creature was quite a distance away. Eros had reacted, too. "Sage," he spoke, his eyes red, "would you like to hunt that animal over there? Once you do, and do it efficiently, we will move to the school yard."
