Kazuha's tiny boat was no match for the violent waves, which thrashed his boat around like a ball of yarn in a cat's paws. The calm wind that he was used to was gone, and harsh, unforgiving gales replaced it. This was the eternal storm that his archon had summoned to seal off his nation.

He knew his boat wouldn't last very long if the weather kept on going like this, but he was too far in to back out now. Besides, he doubted that he could even turn back.

The ocean waves crashed and roared all around him as the wind progressively got stronger. The salty water splashed, and tiny drops of water seemed as sharp as knives. He could hear the creaking of the boat as the sea grabbed at it, until it finally snapped. He was done for now.

Kazuha fell under water as his boat floated in pieces around him. He fought against the waters as he resurfaced. Once he was up, he grabbed whatever remained of his boat and he clung onto it for dear life. Unfortunately, his grip loosened and he let go. Once again he was underwater, but this time there was no hope.

He didn't want to die yet, he couldn't die yet, not while Inazuma is still like this.

He tried to swim back up to the surface, but he couldn't. Hand outstretched, he let himself be dragged away by the currents. Letting a few tears slip out, he closed his eyes, waiting for all this to be over.

That is, until he felt a hand grab his own.

His eyes shot open, the salty water slightly stinging them. He was surprised, and slightly afraid of who this person could be. Were they a part of the Shogun's army, sent after him to arrest him? Could they be from a band of thieves, here to take any possession he has? Or maybe they were simply a kind soul, taking pity on a person in distress? Whoever they may be, he couldn't be too careful.

The person was saying something but it sounded distorted under the water. They were struggling to lift him up by themselves, so he kicked his feet to propel him though the water.

Although it took some effort, he finally broke through the surface but his upper half was hanging uncomfortably over the edge of the boat. He coughed slightly, his hair that was once tied back was now pressed flat against his head. The extra water made his hair feel ten times heavier than it actually is. The mysterious person helped Kazuha up properly, and the first thing he felt was a towel being wrapped around him. Though it didn't do much against the bitter wind, he was grateful for it.
