A girl stands alone.

She stands, and watches, clutching a parasol between her hands.

She watches as everyone she's ever loved collapse, one after the other, like a chain reaction.

Why has this happened? What has she done to deserve this?

The answer is nothing. She's done nothing to bring this curse upon her.

Instead, it's her ancestors. They're the reason why she has to suffer.

But there's one way she can lose touch with reality, even if it's only a few minutes.

She drops her parasol to the ground, and slowly begins to dance.

She dances for her fallen comrades, her lost relationships.

She dances because that's how she remembers them. How she keeps their memory fresh in her heart.

And slowly, but surely, the tears fall. Once they start, they don't stop.

One day, she hopes this cruel cycle will end.

But for now, she will dance.

A boy stands, solitary.

He stands, and reflects, clutching a maple leaf and a newly faded vision between his fingers.

The terrible slash of the sword, and the thump as his friend fell into his arms plague both his mind and soul, replaying over and over like a video on repeat.

It seems that even now, he hasn't gotten used to not having him around.

Sometimes he'll find himself talking to him, but then he remembers. He remembers that he's gone, that he's not really here with him.

For now, he can only hope to find him in his dreams.
