Back in the kingdom, Savanna tells Raphael she and Dedue have been serving the castle since they were in their early teenage years. After all, she was imprisoned in one of the imperial palace's towers for something she never did.", Savanna said to him in agreement and Raphael turned to her in confusion before Dimitri and Sarai walked back into the castle, leaving Savanna to tell Raphael how the young queen was rescued from the imperial capital. "Afterwards, she openly admitted she doesn't think she's even capable of killing soldiers in such a way.", she finished. "Yikes! No wonder she's been through a lot.", he said to her before they walked out of the greenhouse and spotted a wyvern headed towards them. "Thanks, Kamari.", she replied and walked outside to see Claude next to his wyvern. "Hey there, Sarai.", he greeted her playfully. "Hello to you too, Claude.", she said. "Judith told me you're living here due to marriage.", he replied. "Yes, I am.", she said. "Also, it's to Dimitri.", she added. "Lucky you!", he said. "I'm being serious, Sarai. He's a good person.", he told her. "Speaking of which, why is Raphael here instead of the monastery with our friends?", he asked her. "Because I grabbed Savanna's heart for myself, which I didn't know until the other day.", Raphael replied as he and Savanna walked over to them. "Tomorrow, I'm going back to the church for a few days.", Sarai told him. "Is Petra also there?", Claude asked her. "Yes and I'm certain she'll be happy to see you again if you came with me.", she replied. As the month passed on by, Dimitri and Sarai eventually learned the empire was gathering troops at none other than Fort Merceus, which he told her was the only military fortress they had. "It's going to be a tough battle tomorrow, dear. Make sure you're prepared.", he told her in the library. "Dimitri, I'm not a weak citizen. I can take care of myself, but you know you must help our allies prevent them from trying to kill me while I make my way over to her.", she said. After her allies kill the imperial soldiers, Sarai advances towards Edelgard with Dimitri right behind her. "You escaped safely from me once, but I'm not going to let it happen again!", she said as she charged at her before Sarai swung her hero's relic at her, defeating her and she retreated from the field. Suddenly, Randolph's younger sister Flèche charged at Dimitri with a silver sword in her hands, but Ashe sniped her with his bow, causing her to fall to the ground.
