Chi Brooklyn Monroe

{August 17, 2021}

My eyes hadn't watched anything for the past hour as I sat with the thoughts of hurting knowing that I had been the girl he never wanted in the first place. I had actually let the thought of me being just pussy on a free night for Gionni settle in. That morning he and myself had regretted the actions of even having sexual intercourse. Just the thought alone of reliving having sex with him would make me gag. I know knew my position in his life and yes it hurt to be truthful with myself about his own feelings yet I knew that if it wasn't honest with myself then I would keep this cycle of hurting for myself going.

" Chi." My attention focuses back in on reality. I glance at my cousin who wears a concern expression while holding and rocking Treasure in her arms. " Are you ok ? What are you thinking please tell us." I turn to the side seeing my mother with worry lines between her eyes.

I wasn't fine. I wasn't ok, matter fact I was no where near those two places. I was hurting, I hadn't quiet healed from the last time I'd spoken with Gionni. Seems as if there will never be a break when dealing with him.

" I-I'm not ok." There was no point in hiding how I felt. I mean who would be ok or even a one once hearing that your babydaddy you've been having a toxic relationship with is having another child not even six months later. Treasure literally turned three months today, to-fucking day. And what I'm so pissed about, hell even the whole world maybe is the simple fact that he couldn't even be honest nor had she been honest about their relationship with one another.

In this industry ass world that's so built off of social media there was no point in hiding anything beside friend, associates would soon tell and then pop business is spreaded across any social media plate-form that there is.

" Tell us how can we help Chi." Nialey begged leaning closer towards me. " I-I just want to stop dealing with him, with her, with them both. Seems when they entered my life everything has been going up into pieces right in my face." I wipe the single tear that had fallen. More seemed to want to stream down my face. " I agree." Nialey itches her warm hand into my own. "What you need is time away from social media as well. Matter fact I suggest that you block them both on all social media." Her face scrunches up. " I mean what is DreamDoll even doing being your friend and then commenting ? That's just mad weird to me. Block them. Only let Gionni get access to you to only text or call you about Treasure nothing more and nothing less."

I nod agreeing with Nialey.

" Right. Nialey's right." My mother finally speaks up. " I am so sorry Chi for pressuring you to be the mature one in reaching out to him and trying to savage a better relationship with him." Her hand goes onto my knee. I felt revived again, this new found strength could maybe get me through the week. " You should be happy with you daughter which doesn't mean having an actual relationship with Gionni. You can like Nialey said only chat with Gionni about Treasure and just Treasure. I really don't understand what type of pain or thoughts are cruising through your head right now in knowing that he has another women pregnant."

Hearing another person say it stung even more. " But you have your daughter who I see makes you happy." Our eyes connect with one another. She held hope and wisdom in her eyes. " You are strong. This will pass. Although it will hurt for a little while longer just know that you are loved, cared for and about and if you need anything I mean anything we're only one call away." I grab for my mother's hand letting the tears willingly fall on their own.

Nialey grabs my phone putting in the password which hadn't been hard since I'd changed it to the day Treasure was born. She goes to my Instagram typing dreams name in first, gets on her page and blocks her but not before I'd seen the picture Dream had posted exposing her pregnancy.

Whew that hurt like a bitch.

Nialey does the same with Gionni. I spot her once I'd seen an ultrasound picture. " Wait hold on." I reach for my phone clicking onto the picture and seeing the little baby in the womb that isn't Treasure. She'd never posed like that before. " Y-You've got to be kidding me." I force out a chuckle to keep a flood of tears at bay.

" What ?" My mother reaches for the phone. " Is this her ultrasound?" She'd asks placing her eyes onto mine and without me verbally answering she'd known why I'd been so shocked about it. " Ok fill me in on the tea." Nialey comments, reaching for my phone zooming in and out different ways. I think she was trying to find a name.

" He never posted about Treasure." A low, slow gasps escapees her mouth. " Now that's some fucked up shit. Why the hell is he doing you like that ? I mean it ain't even the matter of you anymore it's the fact that Treasure is his first born and never once posted or talked about her like he's doing with this baby. I mean does he even love treasure ? Itstbeen three months now." She held up three fingers. " I don't see him posting her at all."

Not only had I not been the girl he wanted, Treasure wasn't the baby he wanted as well. That was good and that was ok.

My child won't ever feel or think that she's second best at anything especially in her own father's eyes. She's truly treasure and will be treated with respect.

I was done being the nice girl, letting his bullshit slide. Him doing and treating Treasure like this had been the last straw. We we're good.

We're good right now and I had my family who had been there since the very beginning of knowing of Treasure's existence. Nialey without hesitation blocks him on social media. " Block him on my phone number too." I add. Neither my mom nor my cousin questioned me.

Nialey had done just as I asked.

It was time to stop being a little play toy. From this moment forward it's Treasure's world. I, as her mother will do everything and anything in my power to make her feel as if she owned this world with or without Gionni.
