A New Beginning

Chapter 1

"Don't you get it? I don't love you and I never will! My work is way too important to be with someone like you! We're through!" Annabeth shouted and slapped me. My cheek stung but it was my heart that really hurt. I felt tears threaten to leak. I could practically feel my heart breaking into a million shards. She glared at me and stormed off. I felt the little box in my hand fall out and drop onto the sand. In it lay a gorgeous silver ring with a large sapphire Diamond and intricate silver patterns. Tears ran down my cheeks as I ran to my cabin. I locked the door behind me and sobbed into my bed. I stayed in my cabin for a days. The campers tried to get me out of my cabin, but after a few days, they stopped trying. They even stopped trying to talk to me. I soon realised that they had stopped trying because Annabeth had turned them against me. She said that I had dumped and cheated on her. Aphrodite visited everyday for some reason. Bringing me food and things. At least I have one person on my side. One night I went to see my dad and we had a pretty heated argument that ended in him practically disowning me. That same night I snuck out of camp and went to the Empire State building.

"600th floor key please." I said.

"Kid. There is no 600th floor. Now go away."

"Give me the god damn keys or I will personally send you to Hades!" I growled. He got a fearful look in his eyes and hurriedly gave me the key. I got to throne room and saw that only gods there was Lady Hestia, Lady Artemis and Lady Hera. I knelt before the three gods. My hair was messy and my skin pale. My eyes were red rimmed and puffy and my cheeks tear stained.

"Percy? What are you doing here so late?" Lady Hera asked.

"I have a request." I said in a croaky voice.

"Anything for the saviour of Olympus." Hestia replied immediately.

"I wish to die."
