August month went by like a dream. Harry spent most of his time playing with the snitch Sirius got him or with Hedwig. His mother and father were awfully quiet after the party and they were always going to the ministry. Well they work there, Harry told himself but he had this feeling that something terrible is happening or something terrible is about to happen.

The night before Harry was supposed to take the Hogwarts' express he was sleepless. He'd been turning side to side every minuet but he just couldn't sleep. He took the train ticket off his nightstand.

King's Cross - Hogwarts' express - 11 am. - platform 9 and 3/4

Harry laughs a little. He remembers when he saw his ticket and then asked his dad if there was a print mistake, and he showed him his ticket. His dad said ;"no," and Harry looked again at his ticket and then said ;" but platform 9 and 3/4, that can't be right." His father just laughed and said ;" you'll see. "

Harry looked at his trunk laid on the floor with all his stuff, ready to go. Harry looked at Hedwig in her cage. She had been very good at bringing home mice and leave them on Harry's pillow for him. That was nice, I guess, Harry thought. Then he laid back on his pillow and closed his eyes.

Harry woke up at 7 am o'clock. His parents were both still sleeping. Harry got himself ready and then he tried his best to take his trunk downstairs. He felt really accomplished when he got it downstairs without making a sound.

Harry tried to eat cereal but he was to excited to get anything down. He sat down on the floor. He clicked his fingers and a flame came on top of his fingertips. Harry had been practicing all August month and hadn't tell his parents a thing. He had this feeling that he shouldn't tell anyone even if he wanted to tell. The only element he had accomplished was fire. When he tried to bring water in his palm he only got his palm very moist. That probably was just sweat.

Harry thought it strange that he was only discovering it now. But then he thought back.

Once when he was running away from bullies, that were bullying him because he was so different, he got so angry that they humiliated him in front of the entire school that when he touched the gym house it got caught on fire. Fortunately no one was inside the gym. Harry never got caught by the bullies nor the teachers. He remembers that he came crying home and told his parents everything but they just said that it was his magic. But Harry also remembers that they had worried faces, like it was not normal that Harry could do so much just as a child.

Harry looked at his palms that were on fire. He put his palms into fists and that let the fire go away.

The only thing left was the smell of burning flesh.

Harry was almost jumping in his seat. They were driving to King's Cross. His father looked in the rear mirror and grinned.

"Are you sure you want to go to Hogwarts? I mean you don't look that excited," his dad said still grinning.

"James look at the road," his wife said tucking at his shoulder. His father did so. Harry rolled his eyes.

"Of course I want to go," Harry said. His father laughed. Harry thought for a moment and then opened his mouth to say it but then he changed his mind.

"What is mate?" his father asked. Harry's head jerked up and saw his father looking in the rear mirror. He didn't know that he was still looking at him.

"Ah, nothing," Harry said looking down. He felt his dad's eyes on him but didn't say anything.

After an hour or so they were there. Harry jumped out of the car and opened the car trunk and was going to take his trunk out but his dad stopped him and took it out.
