Hey guys! Forgive me if I'm not cheerful in the next few ANs, my dog died yesterday so I'm going through a lot. Anyway, here's the final part. For all of you with pets, make sure you give them lots of love and kisses. They are our best friends.

Enjoy ;)Night was falling, and with it: the full moon. Remus was fidgeting anxiously beside Sirius as the Marauders made their way over to the Whomping Willow under the Invisibility Cloak.
After three years of doing this, Sirius knew how bad the night would be for Moony just by looking at him. And tonight, judging by the deep circles under his eyes and the stumps that his fingernails had been dwindled to by excessive chewing, Sirius knew it would be one of the worse transformations yet. Dread coiled in his gut at the thought of how much pain his friend went through. The sound of Remus's bones breaking and reforming, his flesh stretching and shifting, never really faded from Sirius's memory. He didn't think it ever would.
"Alright Wormtail, you're up," James said, his voice clearly more cheerful than he felt.
Peter, who was shivering next to Remus—either from the cold or from his rat characteristics—gave a small salute and shifted before scurrying under the tree's swinging branches and tapping the root. The four of them hurried through the tunnel and into the shack, James and Sirius quickly shifting when they saw Remus's lengthening canines.
The moonlight shone through the shuttered windows, bathing the usually dark room in an eerie white as Remus's human figure contorted and he screamed in pain. He hunched over, his clothes ripping as his legs lengthened and his back swelled. Fur sprouted from his face and ears and his clawed hand pierced the skin on his sides. Sirius's muscles were tense as he watched, his canine instincts screaming at him to flee, but he stayed put. James was a solid mass of muscles and antlers next to him, one look in his friend's brown eyes telling Sirius he was also struggling against his animalistic urges.
That look was a mistake. When Sirius snapped his head around to look at Moony again, the werewolf was already lunging at them.
Sirius woke up in the hospital wing. The sunlight was streaming through the windows, just as the moonlight had in the shack. The memory brought everything flooding back and he sat up quickly, groaning in pain as his entire left side flared with agony. He looked down at his torso and saw that it was bare except for a bandage that was wrapped around waist and some of his chest. He had another bandage on his bicep and from the pain in his leg, he assumed there was one around his calf as well.
Slowly, so as not to hurt his side again, Sirius looked around him at the other beds. In the one next to him, James was already awake, his head bandaged.
"Look who's finally awake, Moony," James mused, giving Sirius a half-grin, "Took you long enough, mate."
Moony, who was lying in the bed on the other side of James gave Sirius a small smile, shadows still dark in his eyes, "Sorry, Padfoot. I got your side pretty bad there."
Sirius shook his head, "Don't apologise. You can't control it."
Moony looked grateful at his comment, but Sirius was too busy processing what James had said before.
"Wait, how long have I been out?" He asked, his heart jolting from his chest. He'd wanted to tell Y/n the truth the day after the full moon. That was the day before her birthday...
"Two days," James said, frowning slightly, "Why?"
Sirius's head fell into his hands, "No no no no no no... No, it can't be..."
