Waking up before the rooster crows was always a thing that Caiden never had a problem with, however her lover on the other hand always had a problem with it. Caiden hummed as she slipped out of bed that morning and left a naked, unconscious Donna in her wake. Her shower was quick enough that the hot water left red marks on the skin. When she walked over to the closet, shock laced her features. Donna's old dresses and Caiden's old uniforms were still there and pristine. Her fingers gently trailed over the fabric. It had been so long since she had seen these clothes. Compared to what Cameron and Daniella wore, these were ancient. A small smile played on her lips as she brought out her oldest servant attire. It was paled by the sun, but still held strong. She took in a deep breath and tried it on. To her surprise, it fit like a glove.

Her mind immediately trailed to food moments later and trailed downstairs. No matter how much the twins changed the place, they never changed the kitchen. Whether that was out of laziness or routine, she could not tell. Regardless, she was grateful. She immediately trailed her mind over the stock of food that they acquired. A lot of different, neon-colored boxes and fruits littered her eyes. She hummed slightly as she pulled out a few things.

"What are you looking for?" Caiden's soul jumped from her body as she turned to a bleary-eyed Alicia. The twin had her hair brushed down and wore a decently tailored pantsuit.

"Where are you going this morning?"

"Hm?" Her eyes turned down to her attire. "Oh, I have to stop by the damn floodgates. But I was going to wait until after some coffee before I attempted that mess."

"The floodgates?"

"Something about the controls sticking." A side shrug came from the twin. "Thought I'd take a look and leave Micah to the girls for the morning." Caiden nodded as her eyes trailed back to the ingredients laid out in front of her. "What're you making?"

"I was thinking if I could find everything, cinnamon rolls. An Angie favorite."

"Tell me, did that doll haunt you on your way to the afterlife?" Alicia asked as she walked toward the coffee pot and filled it with water. A fond smile danced on Caiden's lips as she nodded.

"You could say that. It was a welcomed distraction."

"Is grandmother coming to say hi to you?"

"We were going to call her today and see what she was thinking about this whole situation." Alicia only grunted in reply. "Want cinnamon rolls?"

"Now that is a stupid question," Alicia countered. "I always want your cinnamon rolls. You make them such a certain way that you have ruined cinnamon rolls from literally everywhere else." A chuckle escaped Caiden's lips as Alicia started the coffee maker and turned to her. "Alright, how can I help? I need to learn this recipe. When you died, I cried because I knew you never wrote down recipes." A fond smile broke on both of their faces.

"I'll write it down later, but I'd love the help." Alicia rubbed her hands together in excitement as she stood right at her mother's side.

"Where do we start?"

The scents of cinnamon rolls permeated through the whole house. Alicia memorized everything that went through her hands. As Caiden checked the rolls in the oven, sleepy steps stomped around upstairs. A knowing smile cracked across both of their faces. Cinnamon rolls was always the number one way to wake anyone up. Elena walked down with her messy bedhead first. She waved sleepily toward the two and hung onto Caiden with a tired groan. Caiden chuckled quietly as they watched Alicia whip up the buttercream frosting.

"How did you sleep?" Caiden asked quietly.

"Like the dead. The cinnamon rolls woke me up." Caiden and Alicia chuckled in agreement. Elena pushed herself away a moment later. "I probably shouldn't hang onto you. I would NOT want that side of Donna to reign hell on us again." Caiden's chuckle was low as she shook her head. Alicia's head cocked to the side in confusion as a curious grin curled at her lips.
