Cameron relaxed into her seat after a long night shift. On the rare occasion that she did not stay at Daniella's, she sat at her own apartment and read from a collection that was supplied by her lover. Tonight, pirates and seaward battles raged in her mind. She sunk into the couch with the book in her nose when her phone alerted of the impending notification. She chose to ignore the call as it went straight to voicemail. It was blissful silence, until a thought sprung to mind.

That could have been Daniella.

Cameron jutted for the phone a moment later. The book haphazardly fell in her lap as she did so. Her hand grasped the phone tight. When it lit up in her face, an unknown number's voicemail broke across the screen. Brows furrowed as she held the phone up and listened.

"Hey Cammie! Just Dad calling to check in. Hoping you would pick up. I was serious about you coming back home for the holidays when I called last time. I hope to see you up here! Love ya, kiddo." The line went dead. Cameron's eyes fell as the phone dropped against her. The woman sighed as she curled into herself. The bracelet shone bright against her wrist. Her frown deepened as she stared at it.

"Gram I know you probably want me there, but...what if I don't want to go?" Her voice was barely above a child's whisper. The bracelet had no answer for her. Instead, she sighed and dropped the topic. She had three weeks to figure that out. No reason to fret over it now. She was more worried about the snow blizzard that was coming in and had a flight next week.

"Hmmmm," Caiden hummed as she stared at the calendar on the kitchen wall of the castle. Frantic maidens travelled around her as they prepared dinner. A soft sigh fell from her lips as she turned away from the calendar and stared back at Frieda. "Thank you for showing me the calendar. I know it's not your job to babysit me," she said in a quiet voice. Freida's smile only widened into something friendlier as she waved the woman off.

"You're Cassandra's favorite aunt. I don't mind."

"What about Donna?"

"Cass says you are a lot more fun to go hunting with." A small smile crept on Caiden's face as she followed the servant out into the hallway. Heel clicks stomped in their ears. Their heads turned to Alcina with a swarm of flies around her. A smirk crossed crimson lips as a pale finger pointed toward the two.

"I found your lover," Alcina chuckled. The swarm darted forward, and an overly excited Cassandra formed into Freida's arms. The women fell to the ground in a fit of laughter. Caiden chuckled as she stepped over top of them and to Alcina's side. "And what were you doing in the kitchen? Dinner is in an hour, and you know how Elena feels about snacking."

"I needed a calendar," Caiden commented. The two took their leave away from the love birds and toward the den.

"There was one in the library you could have used," Alcina commented.

"Fair, but we were closer to the kitchen." The vampire hummed in reply.

"You just got back. What important event could you already have booked outside of your twin copies coming back?" Caiden only shrugged.

"I don't know, but it has been on my mind. Like something important was coming up that I did NOT want to be apart of." A hand tapped against a confused forehead. "It was important though. I can't believe I forgot."

"Was it your event to forget?" Alcina offered as they made it to the study. "You did share a body for quite a while." Caiden's mouth opened only to shut with a distinct click. Her brows furrowed as eyes momentarily searched away. As a small hum escaped her, a light turned on in her head. She snapped her fingers and cursed lowly.
